AZDPS reported Trooper Aiden Rosebeck was arrested on a charge of unlawful sexual contact involving a peace officer.

The department's Nov. 2, 2026, release says he was placed on unpaid administrative leave after an alleged incident late Sunday outside Benson. KOLD reported the charge as unlawful sexual conduct involving a police officer, a class 5 felony, and a $10,000 bond. KVOA reported he remains in custody. The Daily Mail, citing AZFamily, reported he posted that bond on Tuesday.

Unlawful sexual contact involving a peace officer, and unlawful sexual conduct involving a police officer, are not the same count line on the pages. A bond he was expected to post, a bond the Daily Mail said he posted, and a report that he remains in custody are not the same status. The woman is not named on any page used here.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety, in a release dated Monday, November 2, 2026, reported that Trooper Aiden Rosebeck has been arrested and charged with unlawful sexual contact involving a peace officer after allegations of sexual misconduct while on duty in Cochise County. It reported he joined the department in 2020 and has been placed on unpaid administrative leave pending an internal affairs investigation. It reported the alleged incident occurred late Sunday evening, November 1, outside Benson, that the matter was initially reported to the Cochise County Sheriff's Office, which is conducting the criminal investigation, and that the department was notified early Monday morning, November 2. It reported the department's Internal Affairs Unit is conducting a separate administrative investigation. The release does not print his age, a felony class, a bond, or the woman's name. It does not print the words hit-and-run.

KOLD, by Michael Cooper, published Nov. 2, 2026, at 9:48 p.m. MST, reported the sheriff's office said 35-year-old Aiden Rosebeck was arrested on a charge of unlawful sexual conduct involving a police officer, a class 5 felony. It reported the office said his bond was set at $10,000 and he was expected to be released after posting it Tuesday morning. It reported the incident followed a hit-and-run outside of Benson late Sunday, Nov. 1, that a woman's vehicle was stuck on the side of the road, and that the trooper got to the scene and to the woman before deputies. It quoted the office: "The woman reported inappropriate sexual conduct involving a trooper who had responded to her original call," and, "During the investigation, the alleged act occurred." It reported he acknowledged having "a physical interaction with the woman during the incident in question." KVOA, by Jillian Bartsch, on a page dated Nov. 2, 2026, reported the same welfare-check opening and reported he acknowledged having contact with the woman. Contact, on KVOA, and a physical interaction, on KOLD, are not the same words. KVOA reported he was booked into the Cochise County Jail on charges of unlawful sexual conduct involving a police officer, a class 5 felony, and that he remains in custody. Charges, on that sentence, and a charge, on KOLD, are not the same count. Remains in custody, and expected to be released after posting bond Tuesday morning, are not the same status. KVOA's story does not print Benson, a hit-and-run, or a bond. FOX 10 Phoenix, by Jessica Johnson, published Nov. 2, 2026, at 9:32 p.m. MST and updated at 9:40 p.m. MST, reported he is accused of unlawful sexual conduct involving a police officer, a felony, and that he acknowledged "having contact." It reported the sheriff's office did not say exactly where in Cochise County this allegedly happened, and that the woman was not identified. A felony, on FOX 10, and a class 5 felony, on KOLD and KVOA, are not the same class line. FOX 10 does not print unpaid leave, the year 2020, or a bond.

The Daily Mail, by Eliot Force, published at 16:49 EDT on Nov. 3, 2026, and updated at 17:02 EDT, reported he is 35 and was charged with unlawful sexual contact involving a peace officer, a Class 5 felony. Contact and a peace officer, on the Mail and on the department release, and conduct and a police officer, on KOLD, KVOA, and FOX 10, are not the same charge line. The Mail reported the sheriff's office said he responded to the woman's initial emergency call on Sunday before deputies responded to a welfare check for a distraught woman near Benson, about 50 miles southwest of Tucson, and that she said he had engaged in inappropriate sexual conduct while investigating the hit-and-run. It reported police did not detail the precise nature of the alleged misconduct, and that he acknowledged having a physical interaction with the woman. It reported the department confirmed the arrest in a statement released on Tuesday. The release itself is dated Monday, November 2, 2026. Tuesday, on the Mail, and Monday, on the release, are not the same day. The Mail reported he was being held on a $10,000 bond, which he posted on Tuesday, and it attributed that posting to AZFamily. Posted, in that sentence, expected to be released after posting, on KOLD, and remains in custody, on KVOA, are three accounts. The Mail reported the class 5 charge is punishable by six months to two and a half years if he is convicted, according to Arizona law. That range is the Mail's. It is not a sentence. The Benson News-Sun, by Terri Jo Neff, on Nov. 2, 2026, reported a justice of the peace ordered that he can secure pretrial release if he posts a $10,000 bond after he was taken into custody Monday, on a charge of unlawful sexual conduct involving a peace officer, after a welfare check Sunday night near Benson of a distraught motorist who was the victim of a hit-and-run. Peace officer, on that page and on the department release, and police officer, on KOLD, are not the same two words. A later Benson News-Sun story by Neff, dated Nov. 3, 2026, reported an initial appearance Tuesday at the Benson Justice Court, a Nov. 10 early resolution hearing in Cochise County Superior Court, a $10,000 secured bond, and a retained attorney. That story's description of the alleged act was not used. None of these pages names the woman.

The department quoted Director Colonel Jeffrey Glover: "Every member of this Department is entrusted with significant authority, and with that authority comes an equally significant and non-negotiable responsibility to act with integrity and professionalism." KOLD, the Daily Mail, and the release each print that sentence. Sheriff Mark Dannels told KOLD, "Let me be absolutely clear, a badge is not a shield from accountability, and the authority to enforce the law does not place anyone above it." FOX 10 and the Daily Mail print that line. FOX 10 spells him Mark Dannels. The Mail spells him Mark J Dannels. The Nov. 2 Benson News-Sun page spells the charge unlawful sexual conduct involving a peace officer and does not, in the portion that could be read as prose, print the class. The rest of that page and the rest of the Nov. 3 page did not load as readable sentences and were not used. KOLD asked anyone with information to call the sheriff's office at 520-432-9500. The charge is the accusation. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
