Thursday's booking is the name on a warrant Lubbock police had already put out. The Oct. 11 release described a shooter who walked up to a car near East 26th Street and Ivory Avenue. KCBD's arrest account adds aggravated assault and a $250,000 bond. A warrant and a bond are the accusation.

KCBD reported Thursday, Oct. 22, 2026, that the Lubbock Texas Anti-Gang Center and U.S. Marshals arrested Akkini McDade, 24. The station reported he is charged with the murder of Delton Lewis, 28, after a shooting into Lewis's vehicle early on Oct. 11, and that 18-year-old Yundi Inthisan-Johnson was also injured. KCBD reported a warrant was issued the same day as the shooting. McDade is at the Lubbock County Detention Center on murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and the bond is $250,000, the station reported.

The Lubbock Police Department's Oct. 11 release, issued before any arrest, said officers were called at 2:37 a.m. Sunday to East 26th Street and Ivory Avenue for shots fired. The release said officers heard more gunshots nearby and found Lewis, 28, inside a vehicle that had collided with a parked vehicle. He had apparent gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. The release said Inthisan-Johnson, 18, then arrived at University Medical Center with gunshot wounds detectives believed were connected, and that the injuries were moderate. Detectives believed the two were arriving in that area when someone approached the vehicle and fired multiple shots, striking both, the release said. It said no arrest had been made.

KCBD's Oct. 11 story, updated the next day, said the Lubbock Metropolitan Special Crimes Unit wanted McDade for murder and pointed people to Crime Line. That wanted notice and Thursday's jail booking are the same name. The Oct. 11 release did not name a suspect and described a vehicle that hit a parked car. Thursday's KCBD account describes shots into Lewis's vehicle and lists aggravated assault with the murder count. The release's 'no arrest' line is what was true on Oct. 11. The $250,000 bond is what KCBD reported after Thursday's arrest. A charge is not a conviction. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Sheriff's officials named Edward Villa as the suspect after Katie Kinder, her son and her mother were found shot to death in Happy Valley.

Thursday's briefing names the three people and names Villa as the only suspect. The warrant was three counts of first-degree murder. He was found dead before an arrest. KPTV, citing Warrenton police, called it an apparent self-inflicted gunshot. KGW reported Detective Matt Lysaght would not go past a gunshot deputies heard, a firearm in the room, and the fact that no officer fired. KPTV and OPB call the motel the South Jetty Inn. The Oregonian calls it the South Jetty Motel.

An Oahu grand jury indicted Orion Satori on a second-degree murder charge in the Young Street stabbing of Kiril Stoimenov.

An indictment means a grand jury found enough to send the case forward. It is not a finding of guilt. Police have said Satori did the stabbing, according to Hawaii News Now. The next step is arraignment, where he will be asked to enter a plea. Second-degree murder in Hawaii carries a maximum of life with the possibility of parole, the station reported.
