HRANA and Hengaw reported a Tehran Revolutionary Court sentenced Amirhossein Mousavi to death for corruption on earth.
HRANA, posted November 4, 2026, with no clock, reported Branch 15 also imposed five years for insulting religious sanctities and that a family source said the verdict was communicated that day. Hengaw, timed 14:04 on November 4 with no zone, spelled the judge Abolqasem and the account James Bedin. Iran International, timed 19:17 GMT, spelled the account James Bidin and said the five-year term was what his sister reported.

A verdict those outlets say was communicated on Wednesday is not an execution, and none of the pages read here reported that an appeal had been filed. The nine charges HRANA printed do not include corruption on earth. Hengaw put that charge inside the nine. James Bidin, James Bi-Din, and James Bedin are not the same spelling, and July 2026 and early August 2026 are not the same month for the second hearing.
HRANA, posted November 4, 2026, with no clock on the page, reported Amirhossein Mousavi, a political defendant held in Evin Prison, was sentenced by Branch 15 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court to five years in prison and to death on the charge of corruption on earth. It reported a source close to his family said the verdict, issued by that branch and presided over by Judge Abolghasem Salavati, was communicated to him on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, that the five years are for insulting religious sanctities, and that the death sentence is for corruption on earth. It reported the third hearing was September 21, 2026, the second was in July 2026, and the first was November 2, 2025, before the same judge. It reported that at those hearings he and his lawyer, Reza Shafakhah, defended him against nine charges: forming a group or organization to act against the country's internal security, propaganda against the regime, assembly and collusion to commit crimes against the country's internal security, non-incidental contact with individuals affiliated with Israel, insulting Islamic sanctities, financing terrorism, cooperation and exchange of information with individuals affiliated with Israel, spreading false information, and propaganda activities in favor of Israel. Corruption on earth is the charge HRANA put on the death sentence. It is not one of those nine. Insulting Islamic sanctities, in that list, and insulting religious sanctities, in the family source's account of the five-year term, are not the same words. A later paragraph on the same page said that after a September 2025 indictment on assembly and collusion and on propaganda against the regime, the case was referred to Branch 15, and that a charge of insulting religious sanctities falls under the jurisdiction of Criminal Court One of Tehran Province. Criminal Court One, in that sentence, and Branch 15, in the family source's account of who imposed the five years, are not the same court. HRANA reported he was active on X under the username James Bi-Din. It reported he is approximately 42, and that he was arrested December 18, 2024, at Mehrabad Airport while preparing to travel to Kish Island. It reported his lawyer had said the account was under surveillance for nearly six months.
Hengaw, in a story timed Wednesday, November 4, 2026, 14:04, with no zone printed, reported Amirhossein Mousavi, a 42-year-old political prisoner held in Evin Prison, was sentenced to death for corruption on earth and to five years for insulting religious sanctities by Branch 15, presided over by Judge Abolqasem Salavati. Abolqasem, and Abolghasem, are not the same spelling. Forty-two, and approximately 42, are not the same precision. It reported he was formally notified of both sentences in Evin Prison on Wednesday, November 4, 2026. Formally notified in Evin, and communicated to him, with no room named, are not the same sentence. It reported he operated the X account James Bedin. James Bedin, and James Bi-Din, are not the same spelling. It reported Reza Shafakhah confirmed the court imposed the death sentence for corruption on earth, which it also printed as efsad fel arz, in connection with his online activities. It reported he faced nine charges during three hearings, including corruption on earth, insulting religious sanctities, forming a group to act against national security, communicating and exchanging information with individuals affiliated with Israel, and financing terrorism. Including corruption on earth, in that list, and a printed nine that does not include it, are not the same charge list. Forming a group to act against national security, and forming a group or organization to act against the country's internal security, are not the same words. Communicating and exchanging information, and non-incidental contact, are not the same charge name. It reported the first hearing was November 2, 2025, the second was in early August 2026, and the third was September 21, 2026. Early August, and July, are not the same month. It reported he was arrested at Mehrabad Airport on December 18, 2024, and that his lawyer said security agencies had monitored the account for six months. Six months, and nearly six months, are not the same length. Hengaw did not print Kish Island.
Iran International, timed November 4, 2026, 19:17 GMT, reported a Revolutionary Court in Tehran sentenced social media activist Amirhossein Mousavi to death on charges of corruption on earth over his activity on X, and that his lawyer said so Wednesday. It reported that in a post on X, Reza Shafakhah said the sentence was for online activity under the account name James Bidin. James Bidin, James Bi-Din, and James Bedin are three spellings. It reported Branch 15 issued the sentence and that Judge Abolghasem Salavati presided, and that he is under US, British and European Union sanctions for his role in human rights abuses. Those sanctions are Iran International's sentence. They are not in the HRANA or Hengaw text read here. It reported Mousavi, 42, has been detained since December 2024, and that he was also sentenced to five years for insulting religious sanctities, which it said his sister said on X. His sister, and a source close to the family, are not the same attribution for the five-year term. It named her Saeideh Mousavi and reported she wrote, "We condemn this unjust sentence and demand its reversal and that Amirhossein's life be saved," and, "His only crime was writing about and highlighting the suffering of people whose voices were rarely heard," and, "Writing about people's suffering is not a crime!" A demand for reversal is not a filed appeal. Iran International reported the arrest at Mehrabad Airport on December 18, 2024, while he was preparing to travel to Kish, and it attributed that to HRANA. It reported the lawyer had said the account was monitored for nearly six months. It did not print the three hearing dates.
The accounts of a televised statement are not one set of words. HRANA reported the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting aired a video containing what HRANA called forced confessions, that the circumstances of the recording remain unclear, and that the broadcast sought to portray him as having engaged in espionage and intelligence cooperation with Israel. It reported that in a letter from prison, answering the 20:30 news program, he called the report lies and distortions, said the remarks were recorded under pressure, threats, and coercion, said the content was fabricated and distorted, and said portions were selectively edited. Hengaw reported state television's 20:30 program broadcast what Hengaw called forced confessions, and that in an open letter from Evin he said the statements were obtained through torture, threats, and coercion, and that the report was selectively edited, fabricated, and devoid of truth. Torture, and pressure, threats, and coercion, are not the same word. Iran International reported that on October 6, 2025, state television aired footage during the 20:30 programme, and that in a letter from Evin Prison he said interrogators forced the interview after months of physical and psychological pressure. It reported he said he spent 148 days in solitary confinement, was beaten, and was threatened with the detention of his wife, who Iran International said had also been arrested. It reported he said interrogators threatened to detain her again unless he agreed to the interview, and that he denied supplying Israel with information about military facilities or maintaining contact with Mossad. October 6, 2025, 148 days, the beatings, and the wife are in that Iran International account. They are not in the HRANA or Hengaw text read here. Programme, and program, are not the same spelling. None of the three pages reported that the death sentence had been carried out. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The Middle District of Georgia release says Judge Self sentenced Josue Serda to life in prison. FOX 5 Atlanta and WSB-TV say life without parole.
Life in prison, and life without parole, and there is no parole in the federal system, are not the same sentence. More than 50 kilograms of methamphetamine, and 50 kilograms, are not the same quantity. Three investigations, and one ring that seized more than 200 kilograms, are not the same case. A charge against Raul Perez-Mondragon is an allegation.

Roland Chatmon and three others pleaded guilty in the kidnapping of his uncle, Curtis Dixon.
A guilty plea is the conviction on the counts a defendant admits. It is not the prison term. FOX 2 and the New York Post say the four kidnapping defendants face a mandatory minimum of seven years and a maximum of life, with hearings in 2027. WXYZ reported that all five, including Kenneth Anderson, face that range. FOX 2, CBS Detroit, and the Post say Anderson was already sentenced to probation.

An Ottawa jury found Fsha Tekhle guilty of first-degree murder in the stabbing of Brkti Berhe.
A first-degree murder verdict is the jury's finding on that count. CBC wrote that the conviction comes with automatic life sentences, plural, and no eligibility for parole for 25 years. The Ottawa Citizen described an automatic sentence of life without parole for 25 years. No eligibility for parole for 25 years, and life without parole for 25 years, are not the same words. Tekhle admitted causing the death and pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder.
