Charged with first-degree murder is what FOX45 and the department both say. It is not a conviction, and neither page prints a bond or a next court date. A Sept. 26 FOX45 photo caption puts the scene in the 3400 block of Moravia Road. The Nov. 5 stories, and the Sept. 26 story text, say the 3800 block.
The Baltimore Police Department, in a release from Media Relations dated November 5, 2026, 10:19 a.m., and last updated at the same clock, said homicide detectives have arrested 43-year-old Andre Smith Jr. of Baltimore. It said he was wanted in connection with the murder of 61-year-old Rodney Harrison that occurred on September 25, 2026, in the 3800 block of Moravia Road. It said that on November 4, 2026, he was arrested without incident and "trasnported" to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he has been charged with First Degree Murder. Trasnported is the spelling on the page. FOX45, by Lexi Nicklaus, published Thursday, November 5, 2026, at 10:46 a.m., reported a 43-year-old Baltimore man has been arrested and charged in connection with a fatal shooting in the city's Northeast District. It reported Baltimore Police said homicide detectives arrested Andre Smith Jr. in connection with the murder of 61-year-old Rodney Harrison. Wanted in connection with the murder, on the department's release, and arrested in connection with the murder, on FOX45, are not the same verb. First Degree Murder, on the release, and first-degree murder, on FOX45, are not the same capitalization. Neither byline prints a time zone. FOX45 reported Harrison was killed in the 3800 block of Moravia Road on Sept. 25, 2026. It reported officers responded to that block at about 9:54 p.m. on Sept. 25 for a report of a shooting, found a 61-year-old man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, and that medics took him to a hospital, where he later died. The department's original advisory, printed under the arrest note, says Northeast District patrol officers responded at approximately 9:54 p.m., located a 61-year-old male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, and that medics transported him to an area hospital, where he later died. About, and approximately, are not the same word. A hospital, and an area hospital, are not the same phrase. The original advisory does not print Rodney Harrison's name. The arrest note above it does.
FOX45's Sept. 26 story, by WBFF staff, published Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 3:17 a.m. and updated at 9:52 a.m., reported that on Sept. 25, just before 10 p.m., officers responded to Moravia Road for a reported shooting, and that police used crime scene tape to close off the area around the 3800 block. Just before 10 p.m., and about 9:54 p.m., are not the same clock. A photo caption on that page says police were searching for evidence of gunfire next to one of the houses in the 3400 block of Moravia Road on Friday, credited to WBFF and Maggie Ybarra. The 3400 block, in the caption, and the 3800 block, in the story and in both Nov. 5 accounts, are not the same block. Another caption on the Sept. 26 page calls the detectives members of the Northeastern District. The department's Nov. 5 release says Northeast District. Northeastern, and Northeast, are not the same word. The Sept. 26 story reported officers found a 61-year-old man who had been shot, and that medics took him to the hospital, where he later died. Who had been shot, and an apparent gunshot wound, are not the same wound line. The Sept. 26 story does not print a suspect's name and does not print Rodney Harrison's name. FOX45's Nov. 5 story reported Smith was arrested without incident on Nov. 4 and was taken to the Central Booking Intake Facility, and that he has been charged with first-degree murder. Taken, and trasnported, are not the same word.
Both Nov. 5 pages say he is charged. Neither says a jury has heard the case, and neither prints a bond, a lawyer, or a next court date. The department's release asks anyone with information to contact homicide detectives at 410-396-2100 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP. FOX45's Sept. 26 story prints the tip line as 1-866-7Lockup. LOCKUP, and Lockup, are not the same capitalization. A charge is an accusation. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

WJLA says Judge Neal Kravitz found Jaime Macedo guilty of voluntary manslaughter while armed. NBC4 says he pleaded guilty to manslaughter.
Voluntary manslaughter while armed, and voluntary manslaughter, and manslaughter, are not the same count. A bench outside Father O'Connell Hall, and a park on the campus, and a small plaza by that hall, and the 600 block of Alumni Lane, are not the same place. Brookland-CUA Metro, and Brookland Metro, and Brookland-Catholic University Metro, are not the same station line. Snapchat messages, and a message, and an urgent message, are not the same account. Cash App, and cash app, and $300 with no app named, are not the same line. Judge Kravitz accepted the plea and found Jaime Macedo guilty of voluntary manslaughter while armed.
