Police say they have surveillance video, cellphone records and a statement from Errigo himself. That is a strong-sounding probable-cause case, but it is the police version, filed at the very start. No judge or jury has weighed it, and he has not entered a plea. His next court date is Oct. 26.

Phoenix police have arrested Anthony Keith Errigo Jr., 54, in the death of Kiersten Fabiani, 61, a woman found severely injured underneath a vehicle in the backyard of a north Phoenix home, FOX 10 Phoenix and azfamily reported Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2026. He was booked on charges of first-degree murder, aggravated assault and tampering with evidence and is being held on a $1 million cash-only bond, the stations reported. azfamily described Fabiani as his girlfriend.

Police said Fabiani was found around 11:15 a.m. on Oct. 8 near 40th Street and Greenway Road, FOX 10 reported. According to court documents cited by azfamily, a 911 caller found her bleeding from the head and unresponsive underneath a pickup truck, with deep cuts to her head and face, and police found blood on several vehicles and on the ground across the property. She was unable to speak to officers. Fabiani was placed on life support and died Oct. 18, police said. Her death was ruled a homicide.

Five people were at the property at the time, but none saw what happened, according to court documents described by azfamily. The homeowner, who had hired Errigo to work there, let police review surveillance video. Police say it shows Fabiani and Errigo walking into the backyard and Errigo later rinsing his hands and shoes with a water hose. Court documents say that about four hours later he went to a nearby storage facility in the same clothes carrying an "unknown cylindrical object" and was picked up by someone in a red Cadillac, azfamily reported. Cellphone records placed him at the home at the time of the assault, police said, though his phone appeared to have been switched on and off several times.

Detectives used cellphone data to track Errigo to a motel and arrested him after he drove away, azfamily reported. The two stations gave different details on the arrest: azfamily reported he was taken into custody Monday near 29th Avenue and Bell Road, while FOX 10 reported police announced Tuesday that he was arrested near 27th Avenue and McDowell Road.

According to court paperwork described by azfamily, Errigo told police that he got into a fight with Fabiani, hit her in the head multiple times with a vehicle jack stand and punched her, then washed his hands and shoes to get rid of blood. He said he threw away his clothes afterward and left his phone at a friend's house "so investigators could not track him," court documents state. Those statements are the police account of what he said. They have not been tested in court.

At Errigo's first court appearance Tuesday morning, prosecutor Ashley Stetson said an autopsy found Fabiani died of blunt force trauma and had multiple head lacerations, bleeding on the brain, rib fractures and a neck injury consistent with strangulation, azfamily reported. Errigo is next due in court Oct. 26, FOX 10 reported, citing the Phoenix Police Department and Maricopa County Superior Court. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Sheriff's officials named Edward Villa as the suspect after Katie Kinder, her son and her mother were found shot to death in Happy Valley.

Thursday's briefing names the three people and names Villa as the only suspect. The warrant was three counts of first-degree murder. He was found dead before an arrest. KPTV, citing Warrenton police, called it an apparent self-inflicted gunshot. KGW reported Detective Matt Lysaght would not go past a gunshot deputies heard, a firearm in the room, and the fact that no officer fired. KPTV and OPB call the motel the South Jetty Inn. An Oahu grand jury indicted Orion Satori on a second-degree murder charge in the Young Street stabbing of Kiril Stoimenov.

An indictment means a grand jury found enough to send the case forward. It is not a finding of guilt. Police have said Satori did the stabbing, according to Hawaii News Now. The next step is arraignment, where he will be asked to enter a plea. Second-degree murder in Hawaii carries a maximum of life with the possibility of parole, the station reported.
