Shelby County deputies and U.S. Marshals took Anthony Green into custody a year after a jury found him guilty.

Action News 5 and WSMV reported Green, now 25, was arrested about 1:25 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2026, on Knights Trail in Memphis and booked at 201 Poplar. FOX13 Memphis put the stop on Knights Trail Circle and called the 2025 release a clerical error. On Sept. 27, 2025, that station quoted the sheriff's office saying a deputy, not the clerk, let him bond out.

Wednesday's paperwork is a set of charges. The September 2025 jury verdict is a finding of guilt, and none of the capture stories says a sentence was imposed before he left the jail. Action News 5 and WSMV still attribute the release to paperwork the jail had not received from the clerk. FOX13 Memphis reported on Sept. 27, 2025, that the sheriff's office had withdrawn that account.

Action News 5 reported that Shelby County deputies and U.S. Marshals agents arrested Anthony Green at about 1:25 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2026, after a search warrant on the 3300 block of Knights Trail in Memphis. WSMV reported the same time, the same block, and the same agencies. FOX13 Memphis reported he was taken into custody Wednesday in Hickory Hill, in the 3300 block of Knights Trail Circle, and attributed the capture to the Shelby County Sheriff's Office. That station's Wednesday story does not mention the Marshals and does not give a clock time. Action News 5 says he was transported to 201 Poplar. FOX13 Memphis says he was taken to the main jail at 201 Poplar. WSMV says he was transported to the Shelby County Jail. Action News 5 and WSMV say he was 24 at the September 2025 verdict and is 25 now. FOX13 Memphis calls him 25.

What he was booked on Wednesday is a charge list. Action News 5 and WSMV say the charges are first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, and employing a firearm with the intent to commit a felony. FOX13 Memphis uses the same three and words the middle count as criminal attempt first-degree murder. The underlying case is older than Wednesday's booking. Action News 5 and WSMV say that on Sept. 24, 2025, after a three-day trial, a jury found him guilty in a 2020 murder case, and that he was released the same month after posting a $2,500 bond on an unrelated misdemeanor theft charge because the jail had not yet received or processed the clerk's information. FOX13 Memphis reported Wednesday that he was convicted of first-degree murder in a September 2025 trial, that he had been booked on unrelated theft charges the day before the verdict, and that he posted bond on those theft charges and left 201 Poplar before the records were updated. The station called that a clerical error and wrote that he walked out 45 minutes after the conviction. Action News 5 does not give that interval.

The clerk account is the one the sheriff's office later dropped, in a statement FOX13 Memphis published Sept. 27, 2025. That story says the office took responsibility for a procedural lapse, said the notice revoking his $500,000 bond on the murder case was not timely communicated, and said an initial report blaming the Criminal Court Clerk for failing to deliver the revocation paperwork was wrong. FOX13 Memphis quoted the office saying a deputy failed to follow the protocol for revoking bonds, that the inmate was allowed to bond out despite revocation orders, and that the office apologized to the clerk for the miscommunication. Wednesday's Action News 5 and WSMV stories still say the jail had not received the clerk's information. Wednesday's FOX13 Memphis story still says clerical error. Neither Wednesday account repeats the Sept. 27 finding that the sheriff's office blamed a deputy.

The man named in the Sept. 27 FOX13 Memphis story is Octavious Atkins. That story says Green was convicted in the June 2020 murder of Atkins. Wednesday's FOX13 Memphis story says a jury found Green guilty of shooting and killing a man in Whitehaven in 2020 and does not print the name. Action News 5 and WSMV do not name him either. A guilty verdict, as those outlets describe September 2025, is the jury's finding. A sentence is the term a court imposes after that finding, and the Wednesday stories describe the jail intake as charges, which is the language of a case that still has to be processed. The Sept. 27 story said he was still at large. Wednesday's stories are the capture. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Dequarius Nash was arrested on a first-degree murder charge in the South Memphis shooting death of Kendarish Conrad.

Wednesday's booking is an arrest on a first-degree murder charge, five aggravated-assault counts and a firearm count. Action News 5 reported Terrence Jeffries Jr. and Terrance Munson were already arrested and indicted in May. Their indictment is not a finding about Nash. The store address is 1335 South Bellevue in the station's Thursday story, 1385 South Bellevue in Memphis police releases, and the 1300 block in the Marshals release.

Sheriff's officials named Edward Villa as the suspect after Katie Kinder, her son and her mother were found shot to death in Happy Valley.

Thursday's briefing names the three people and names Villa as the only suspect. The warrant was three counts of first-degree murder. He was found dead before an arrest. KPTV, citing Warrenton police, called it an apparent self-inflicted gunshot. KGW reported Detective Matt Lysaght would not go past a gunshot deputies heard, a firearm in the room, and the fact that no officer fired. KPTV and OPB call the motel the South Jetty Inn. The Oregonian calls it the South Jetty Motel.

An Oahu grand jury indicted Orion Satori on a second-degree murder charge in the Young Street stabbing of Kiril Stoimenov.

An indictment means a grand jury found enough to send the case forward. It is not a finding of guilt. Police have said Satori did the stabbing, according to Hawaii News Now. The next step is arraignment, where he will be asked to enter a plea. Second-degree murder in Hawaii carries a maximum of life with the possibility of parole, the station reported.
