Reese was sentenced to 15 years on a federal gun count. That judgment is not a murder conviction.

On Wednesday, Sept. 23, Anthony Reese was sentenced to 15 years, the maximum, for felon in possession of a firearm, followed by three years of probation, in the Columbia, S.C., and Cayce case. The sentence is on the gun count, and the state murder charge in Angela Fuller's death is still pending.

A federal sentence for felon-in-possession is the judgment on the gun count. It is not a state murder conviction, and the murder charge is still pending. On Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2026, Anthony Reese was sentenced to 15 years in federal prison, the maximum on that charge, plus three years of probation, for being a felon in possession of a firearm. The state murder charge in the death of his then-girlfriend Angela Fuller was still pending as of Wednesday.

The case is in the Columbia, South Carolina, and Cayce area. Columbia Police said Reese was the last person with Fuller, that he left the residence on Aug. 31, 2025, that her body was dumped in a wooded area, and that a firearm was found in his vehicle. Federal prosecutors said ballistic testing tied that firearm to an intent to kill Fuller. Prior felony convictions, as reported, were domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature, burglary, and assault. Those priors are why the felon-in-possession count exists. They are not a murder sentence.

U.S. District Judge Joseph F. Anderson noted in the ruling that Reese was responsible for Fuller's death. That note is a statement in the federal firearms sentencing. It is not a state murder conviction. The state murder charge remained pending as of Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2026. The 15 years and the three years of probation are the judgment on being a felon in possession of a firearm, as reported by the U.S. Attorney's Office and WIS. The reporting used here did not give them.

Tuscaloosa police charged Daronte Collins with felony murder after a Saturday apartment-complex shooting.

WBRC's jail photo is captioned Daronte Collins and puts both men at 22. The Tuscaloosa Thread, citing Violent Crimes Unit Lt. Michael Hall, spells the charged man Deronte and puts both at 20. Patch and the Calhoun Journal also use Daronte and 20. A felony-murder count, which the Thread and the Journal describe as Alabama's rule when someone dies during a robbery, is not a finding that Collins fired the shot that killed Tyson. The Thread says the 25-year-old has not been charged.

High Point police charged Kymberli Bowden with first-degree murder in her 13-year-old daughter's death.

The Oct. 8 release is a new murder count on a case the department charged in 2025 as felony child abuse and concealment of death. It is not a trial. The murder-charge release says she remains in jail with no bond. WXII reported a violent-offense hold and a $1 million bond on the older counts. The 2025 release listed her age as 44. The murder-charge release, WXII, and FOX 35 Orlando list 45.

Chicago police charged Chevazz Campbell in the stabbing death of CTA janitor Julian Mobley.

A detention hearing is the first court date. It is not a finding that Campbell stabbed anyone. The department's Sunday release says he robbed and fatally stabbed a 41-year-old man in the 2000 block of West Lake Street. ABC7 and CBS Chicago name that man as Julian Mobley and describe a fare dispute that turned into a stabbing. The department's charge list and CBS Chicago's shorter summary do not match count for count.
