41NBC reported Antwuan Deshaun Sims is charged with murder in the shooting death of Soraya Kiara Woodley.

41NBC reported Nov. 2, 2026, that Antwuan Deshaun Sims, 21, of Macon, is charged with murder and held without bond in the Oct. 19 death of Soraya Kiara Woodley, 22, in the 800 block of Pio Nono Avenue. 13WMAZ reported the same charge, the same ages, and a sheriff's office account that he shot her and then shot himself. Deputies took him from Atrium Health Navicent on Oct. 30.

A murder charge, and an order holding him without bond, are not a verdict. Shortly after 3 p.m., on 41NBC, and about 3 p.m., on 13WMAZ, are not the same clock for the Oct. 30 discharge. Treatment for an injury, in 41NBC's Nov. 2 update, and a self-inflicted gunshot wound, in 13WMAZ, are not the same medical description.

41NBC, in a Nov. 2, 2026 update by Tucker Sargent and Monica Diaz-Meek, reported that a 21-year-old Macon man has been charged with murder in the shooting death of 22-year-old Soraya Kiara Woodley on Pio Nono Avenue. The page did not print an absolute clock for that update. It reported the Bibb County Sheriff's Office identified Antwuan Deshaun Sims as the suspect, that the death was Oct. 19 in the 800 block of Pio Nono Avenue, and that he was discharged from Atrium Health Navicent shortly after 3 p.m. on Oct. 30 after treatment for an injury. It reported deputies took him into custody after the discharge and took him to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center, that he is charged with murder, that he is being held without bond, and that the investigation remains active. 13WMAZ, in a story by Sandra Hernandez published at 10:18 a.m. EST on Nov. 2 and updated at 12:15 p.m. EST the same day, reported the sheriff's office arrested 21-year-old Antwuan Deshaun Sims in the Oct. 19 shooting that killed Soraya Kiara Woodley, that she was 22, that he was discharged from Atrium Health Navicent at about 3 p.m. on Oct. 30, and that he is charged with murder and held without bond at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center. Shortly after 3 p.m. and about 3 p.m. are not the same clock. Both stations print murder, no bond, both ages, both names, Oct. 19, and Oct. 30.

What the Nov. 2 update calls an injury is not what the earlier item on the same 41NBC page called the wound, and it is not what 13WMAZ calls it now. 41NBC's Oct. 19 update reported the shooting was reported at 5:31 p.m. in the 800 block of Pio Nono Avenue, that deputies went to Pio Nono Avenue and Hillcrest Avenue, and that they found Woodley unresponsive with a gunshot wound. It reported Deputy Coroner Luann Stone pronounced her dead at the scene. It reported a 21-year-old man was found with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound, that paramedics took him to a local hospital in stable condition, and that the sheriff's office had not identified him and had not explained what led to the shooting. The original item on that page, citing Coroner Leon Jones, identified her as Soraya Woodley and did not print Kiara. The Nov. 2 update prints Soraya Kiara Woodley and, for his hospital stay, prints an injury. It does not print 5:31 p.m., Hillcrest, Luann Stone, or the words self-inflicted. 13WMAZ's current story reports he was released after a self-inflicted gunshot wound and that, according to the sheriff's office, Woodley had allegedly been shot to death by Sims before he shot himself. Allegedly is the station's word, attached to the sheriff's office account. 13WMAZ does not print the 800 block, Hillcrest Avenue, 5:31 p.m., or Luann Stone. It reports the sheriff's office has not said how Woodley and Sims knew each other. 41NBC's Nov. 2 update does not print that sentence.

Both accounts are a charge filed after he left the hospital. Neither is a verdict that he killed Soraya Kiara Woodley. Held without bond is a custody decision. It is not a sentence. The Oct. 19 description of an unidentified man with what appeared to be a self-inflicted wound, and the Nov. 2 naming of Antwuan Deshaun Sims, are eleven days apart. A charge is not a conviction. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

WJLA says Judge Neal Kravitz found Jaime Macedo guilty of voluntary manslaughter while armed. NBC4 says he pleaded guilty to manslaughter.

Voluntary manslaughter while armed, and voluntary manslaughter, and manslaughter, are not the same count. A bench outside Father O'Connell Hall, and a park on the campus, and a small plaza by that hall, and the 600 block of Alumni Lane, are not the same place. Brookland-CUA Metro, and Brookland Metro, and Brookland-Catholic University Metro, are not the same station line. Snapchat messages, and a message, and an urgent message, are not the same account. Cash App, and cash app, and $300 with no app named, are not the same line. Judge Kravitz accepted the plea and found Jaime Macedo guilty of voluntary manslaughter while armed. A 12-to-15-year range is not the sentence. Sentencing has not happened.
