A murder charge and an armed-criminal-action count are what the prosecutor filed. They are not a finding that Stigger fired the shots. KSHB and KMBC reported a witness account from court documents, including that Culp screamed his nickname before more shots. KSHB reported a bond review on Oct. 14. That date is a hearing, not a trial.

KCTV reported Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2026, that Jackson County Prosecutor Melesa Johnson announced charges of first-degree murder and armed criminal action against Armondo S. Stigger. KMBC reported the same announcement and the same two counts, using the name Armondo S. Stigger. KSHB reported he is 50 and lives in Kansas City, Missouri. KCTV's on-screen line spelled the first name Armando. The station's story, KMBC, and KSHB spell it Armondo. They are describing one defendant. KCTV and KMBC reported Kansas City police were called Sept. 30 to East 73rd Street and Cleveland Avenue and found a woman in a vehicle with gunshot wounds to her head, neck, and face. She was pronounced dead at the scene. KSHB reported the call came around 8:30 p.m. and identified her as Dionne Culp, 50. A charge is the prosecutor's filing. It is the accusation the court papers make.

KSHB, citing a court document, reported that a witness who called 911 said Stigger had called her earlier and asked for a ride because he and Culp had argued, and that he called back to say Culp had picked him up. KMBC reported the witness said the argument was verbal and that Stigger later said he did not need the ride because the victim came back for him. KSHB reported the witness then went to his address, watched him get out of Culp's vehicle, go inside the home, and return to the vehicle, and that she heard Culp scream "Mondo, Mondo" and heard gunfire. KMBC reported she heard the victim scream "Mondo" when Stigger approached the open passenger door, then heard more shots. The two stations are quoting the same scene from court papers at slightly different lengths. KSHB reported the witness heard more shots, then saw Stigger lock his door and leave in a white Chrysler, and that she tried to help Culp until responders arrived.

KCTV, citing court records, reported detectives say Stigger shot Culp while they were inside her vehicle and then ran, and that police later found him and took him into custody without incident. KSHB reported officers used information about his vehicle to locate him shortly after the shooting, that the arrest was without incident, and that a firearm was recovered on the front porch of the home where he was arrested. KMBC and KSHB reported that in an interview he did not answer most questions and, asked about the relationship, said Culp was "secretive and manipulative." That sentence is what the outlets say he told detectives. It is not a ruling on what happened in the car.

KSHB reported Stigger is in the Jackson County Detention Center on a $250,000 cash-only bond, with a bond review set for Oct. 14. KMBC reported a judge set the bond at $250,000 cash only. KCTV did not report a bond figure. The Oct. 14 date is the review KSHB described. It is not a trial date, and the outlets used here did not report a preliminary hearing. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Tuscaloosa police charged Daronte Collins with felony murder after a Saturday apartment-complex shooting.

WBRC's jail photo is captioned Daronte Collins and puts both men at 22. The Tuscaloosa Thread, citing Violent Crimes Unit Lt. Michael Hall, spells the charged man Deronte and puts both at 20. Patch and the Calhoun Journal also use Daronte and 20. A felony-murder count, which the Thread and the Journal describe as Alabama's rule when someone dies during a robbery, is not a finding that Collins fired the shot that killed Tyson. The Thread says the 25-year-old has not been charged.

High Point police charged Kymberli Bowden with first-degree murder in her 13-year-old daughter's death.

The Oct. 8 release is a new murder count on a case the department charged in 2025 as felony child abuse and concealment of death. It is not a trial. The murder-charge release says she remains in jail with no bond. WXII reported a violent-offense hold and a $1 million bond on the older counts. The 2025 release listed her age as 44. The murder-charge release, WXII, and FOX 35 Orlando list 45.

Chicago police charged Chevazz Campbell in the stabbing death of CTA janitor Julian Mobley.

A detention hearing is the first court date. It is not a finding that Campbell stabbed anyone. The department's Sunday release says he robbed and fatally stabbed a 41-year-old man in the 2000 block of West Lake Street. ABC7 and CBS Chicago name that man as Julian Mobley and describe a fare dispute that turned into a stabbing. The department's charge list and CBS Chicago's shorter summary do not match count for count.
