Blueface was arrested in Santa Clarita after deputies answering what turned out to be a fake gun call say he refused their commands.

The rapper, whose legal name is Johnathan Porter, was taken into custody Monday night, Oct. 19, 2026, in Valencia on suspicion of delaying a law enforcement investigation, TMZ reported, citing the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. Deputies later determined the 911 report of a man pointing a gun was a swatting call.

Being swatted makes Blueface the target of someone else's crime, and the sheriff's department says the gun call was bogus. The arrest is about what deputies say happened after they arrived. Delaying an investigation is a low-level allegation, but he is on probation from a 2022 Las Vegas shooting case, and that is where a new arrest can carry more weight than the charge itself. As of now, no one has said whether prosecutors will file anything.

Rapper Blueface was arrested Monday night, Oct. 19, 2026, in Santa Clarita, Calif., after deputies responding to a report of a man with a gun detained him and he allegedly refused to follow their commands, TMZ reported, citing a representative for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. He was arrested for delaying a law enforcement investigation, according to TMZ. The Hindustan Times and HipHopWired also reported the arrest, and the Hindustan Times, citing KTLA, reported that it happened while Blueface, whose legal name is Johnathan Porter, was livestreaming on the platform Kick.

According to the sheriff's representative, as reported by TMZ, deputies were called at 7:43 p.m. Monday about a man pointing a gun at someone at a business in Valencia, a neighborhood of Santa Clarita. When deputies arrived, they detained several people, including Blueface, the representative said. Deputies ultimately determined the call was a bogus swatting call, TMZ reported. Swatting is when someone makes a false emergency report to send police to a location.

TMZ reported that video of the encounter shows Blueface and his friends dressed in Halloween superhero costumes and telling deputies right away that they did not have any weapons. The Hindustan Times, citing TMZ, reported he was taken to the Los Angeles County jail. The sheriff's department has not publicly said whether he has been released or whether the case will be sent to prosecutors, and no charging decision has been reported.

Blueface, 29, has had several recent run-ins with the law. TMZ reported he was detained in August, only months after being released from prison, and that he is on probation in connection with charges from a 2022 shooting in Las Vegas. TMZ also reported he recently got engaged to longtime on-and-off girlfriend Chrisean Rock. The Hindustan Times reported he rose to fame in 2018 and that his single "Thotiana" reached No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100.

An arrest is not a charge, and a charge is not a conviction. The person who placed the false 911 call has not been publicly identified. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Faizon Love at a film premiere
Pop Culture

By Crime Talk Network Staff Writer

A San Diego judge granted Faizon Love two years of mental health diversion and took next week's trial off the calendar.

Diversion postpones the case. It does not dismiss it, and it does not produce a verdict. Harutunian said he disagrees with California's diversion statute and that he is required to follow it. He found prosecutors had not met the statute's clear-and-convincing standard. NBC 7 reported the diagnosis was not said in open court, and the clerk is not named.

Noel Clarke arriving at Westminster Magistrates' Court

Noel Clarke pleaded not guilty in London to six sexual offense charges.

A not-guilty plea at a first magistrates' appearance is the defendant's answer, and Chief Magistrate Paul Goldspring sent the case to the crown court because a conviction would be beyond that court's sentencing power, the Daily Mail reported. Variety's account of Clarke's lost libel case against the Guardian is a civil judgment about a 2021 investigation. The five women in the criminal charges stay unnamed.

Daytona Beach police say a 20-year-old told Rick Ross' son "I don't care who your daddy is" before striking him with a handgun.

The suspect's name is not printed the same way. WESH and Complex call him Don Roberts III. WFTV's story, carried on Yahoo, calls him Don Roberts II. The booking listing shows Don Roberts, 20. Despite the shared surname, WESH and Complex report police documents identify the two men as unrelated. WFTV also noted that 50 Cent's post does not show that the lawyer he named has joined the case, or that the suspect has been released. The outcome of Wednesday's bond hearing had not been reported when this story published.
