On Monday, Oct. 5, 2026, Boakai Hilton Jr. pleaded guilty to kidnapping and firearm-robbery counts, and to conspiracy counts, in a Tampa case that also charges Seattle Seahawks cornerback Terrion Arnold. Tampa Bay 28 reported he was sentenced to 10 years in Florida state prison and must testify in later proceedings.

A prison term after a guilty plea is the judgment on the counts Hilton admitted. It is not a finding against Terrion Arnold, who has pleaded not guilty and whose case is still pending. Tampa Bay 28 and WFLA reported the Hillsborough County State Attorney's Office said Hilton was sentenced Monday to 10 years and must testify truthfully. The plea closes his counts. It leaves the rest of the case open.
Tampa Bay 28 and WFLA reported that on Monday, Oct. 5, 2026, the Hillsborough County State Attorney's Office said Boakai Hilton Jr. pleaded guilty to three counts of kidnapping, three counts of robbery with a firearm, conspiracy to commit kidnapping, and conspiracy to commit robbery with a firearm. He was sentenced to 10 years in Florida state prison. Tampa Bay 28 reported the agreement requires him to testify truthfully in any future proceedings in the case. The Seattle Times reported the same 10-year term and the same testimony condition. A sentence after a guilty plea is the judgment on the counts that were admitted.
The Tampa Police Department said in a June 24, 2026 release that the robbery occurred on Feb. 4, 2026, in the 14000 block of North 46th Street, and that three adult men were held at gunpoint, beaten, and robbed before they were ordered to leave. Police said Arnold rented an Airbnb in Largo, that property was stolen from the rental on Feb. 1, and that he suspected two of the three men. Investigators later determined those men were not involved, the department said. On Feb. 3, Arnold, Hilton, Freddie Hughes, and another person reported a loss of more than $250,000 to the Largo Police Department, the release said. Police said Arnold and Hilton that day directed Arianna Del Valle and Jasmine Randazzo to lure one of the men to an apartment. WFLA reported Tampa police called Arnold the primary conspirator. The Seattle Times reported Arnold, 23, pleaded not guilty in July. That account is what police and prosecutors have said. It is not a verdict on Arnold.
Tampa Bay 28 reported that Del Valle and Randazzo had already pleaded guilty and that prosecutors are still pursuing the remaining defendants. The Seattle Times reported Arnold was waived by the Detroit Lions after the charges became public in June, later signed with the Seahawks, and was placed on the commissioner's exempt list, where he is expected to stay until the case is finished. The June police release said Arnold faces four counts of kidnapping and four counts of armed robbery. A co-defendant's plea does not decide those counts. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Tuscaloosa police charged Daronte Collins with felony murder after a Saturday apartment-complex shooting.
WBRC's jail photo is captioned Daronte Collins and puts both men at 22. The Tuscaloosa Thread, citing Violent Crimes Unit Lt. Michael Hall, spells the charged man Deronte and puts both at 20. Patch and the Calhoun Journal also use Daronte and 20. A felony-murder count, which the Thread and the Journal describe as Alabama's rule when someone dies during a robbery, is not a finding that Collins fired the shot that killed Tyson. The Thread says the 25-year-old has not been charged.

High Point police charged Kymberli Bowden with first-degree murder in her 13-year-old daughter's death.
The Oct. 8 release is a new murder count on a case the department charged in 2025 as felony child abuse and concealment of death. It is not a trial. The murder-charge release says she remains in jail with no bond. WXII reported a violent-offense hold and a $1 million bond on the older counts. The 2025 release listed her age as 44. The murder-charge release, WXII, and FOX 35 Orlando list 45.

Chicago police charged Chevazz Campbell in the stabbing death of CTA janitor Julian Mobley.
A detention hearing is the first court date. It is not a finding that Campbell stabbed anyone. The department's Sunday release says he robbed and fatally stabbed a 41-year-old man in the 2000 block of West Lake Street. ABC7 and CBS Chicago name that man as Julian Mobley and describe a fare dispute that turned into a stabbing. The department's charge list and CBS Chicago's shorter summary do not match count for count.
