Tuesday's arrest is custody on charges he still has to face in Virginia. It is not a finding that he killed D'Angelo Osborne. Second-degree murder and the three firearm counts are the wanted list in the Marshals release. Extradition is the next step the release describes. It is not an arraignment and not a plea.

The U.S. Marshals Service, in a release dated November 3, 2026, from the Eastern District of Virginia, said a fugitive investigation that spanned several states and lasted over 18 months ended that day with the arrest of a man wanted in a Hampton homicide on April 11, 2025. It said the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force, in conjunction with the New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force, arrested Curtis Shermaine Frazier, Jr., 27, shortly after 9:30 a.m. in the 5000 block of Farragut Avenue in Brooklyn. It said he was wanted on charges of second-degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, shooting in a public place, and reckless handling of a firearm, all related to a homicide at the Karma Lounge that took the life of 25-year-old D'Angelo Osborne. WTKR, in a story by WTKR Web Staff whose Posted line did not print a clock, reported the same middle name, the same age, the same block, the same morning, and the same four charges, and it said the arrest was Tuesday. 13News Now, by Jamila Cromartie, published at 12:06 p.m. EST and updated at 12:43 p.m. EST, printed the name as Curtis Frazier Jr. and did not print Shermaine. Curtis Shermaine Frazier, Jr., with the comma, and Curtis Frazier Jr., with no middle name, are not the same printed name. Over 18 months, in the release, an 18-month investigation, in WTKR, and more than 18 months, in 13News Now, are not the same length.

The release said that shortly after the homicide, the Hampton Police Division asked the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force for help, that the task force followed leads in North Carolina and Georgia, and that he was apprehended in New York. It said he was arrested without incident and is being held at Brooklyn Central Booking, where he will await extradition to Virginia. WTKR reported Hampton police requested that help, that investigators followed leads in North Carolina and Georgia before tracking him to Brooklyn, and that the Capital Area task force made the arrest in coordination with the New York/New Jersey task force. 13News Now reported the New York/New Jersey task force and the Capital Area task force in the opposite order in its arrest sentence, and it said he was taken into custody without incident. In conjunction with, in coordination with, and a sentence that names the New York task force first are not the same description of who led the arrest. Arrested without incident, and taken into custody without incident, are close. They are not the same verb. WTKR's page label reads Karma Restaurant & Lounge. The body of that story, the Marshals release, and 13News Now print Karma Lounge. A restaurant and lounge, and a lounge, are not the same name on the page.

The four charges are what the release says he was wanted on. WTKR and 13News Now print the same four. None of the three pages reports a plea, a bail figure, or a Virginia court date. Brooklyn Central Booking is where the release says he is being held while he waits to be sent back. Extradition is not an arraignment. The April 11, 2025, homicide is the case the release ties the charges to. It is not a finding, in Tuesday's papers, that he fired a shot or that he killed D'Angelo Osborne. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

WJLA says Judge Neal Kravitz found Jaime Macedo guilty of voluntary manslaughter while armed. NBC4 says he pleaded guilty to manslaughter.

Voluntary manslaughter while armed, and voluntary manslaughter, and manslaughter, are not the same count. A bench outside Father O'Connell Hall, and a park on the campus, and a small plaza by that hall, and the 600 block of Alumni Lane, are not the same place. Brookland-CUA Metro, and Brookland Metro, and Brookland-Catholic University Metro, are not the same station line. Snapchat messages, and a message, and an urgent message, are not the same account.
