Intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault charges are accusations. They are not findings that Martinez caused Morin's death while intoxicated. FOX RGV reported Brownsville police said she showed signs of intoxication and that Morin later died at a hospital. Four people were taken to a hospital after the crash.
FOX RGV reported that Brownsville police responded about 9:10 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2026, to the 2300 block of Coffee Road after a crash involving a white Chevrolet Suburban and a gray Hyundai Elantra. Police said the Suburban was westbound when the Elantra left a private driveway eastbound and the vehicles collided. All four people in the crash were taken to a hospital. Daniel A. Morin, 24, the Elantra driver, was critical and later died.
Police identified Dania Martinez, 26, as the Suburban driver and said she showed signs of intoxication. She was charged with intoxication manslaughter with a motor vehicle, a second-degree felony, and intoxication assault with a motor vehicle causing serious bodily injury, a third-degree felony. FOX RGV reported she was arraigned the morning of Oct. 14 and issued a $55,000 bond. ValleyCentral reported the same two felony charges. The investigation remains open.
A bond and an arraignment are process. They are not a conviction. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The federal case is about what prosecutors say happened before passengers restrained him. Twenty years is the statutory ceiling on the interference count. It is not a sentence.

Pinellas deputies charged Christopher "Dodge" Smith with attempted first-degree murder after a Safety Harbor shooting.
Attempted first-degree murder is the charge because Antolini is alive. It is not a homicide count, and it is not a conviction. WFLA reported that if she dies, the state said the charge may be upgraded, and that a judge denied bond and ordered him not to contact the child.
