Second degree murder, as KALB prints it, is the charge. Around 6 p.m. and by around 7 p.m. are not the same time on that page. The Natchitoches Parish Detention Center and the Lasalle Correctional Center are not the same facility. The earlier KALB update says an apparent domestic stabbing. The Sunday update does not use that word.
KALB, in a story by the KALB Digital Team, reported an update labeled Sunday 11/1 in which the Natchitoches Police Department released details from its investigation into a homicide on Amulet Street. It reported Darrell Davis, 33, of Natchitoches, was arrested Saturday and is charged with second degree murder. It reported NPD arrived at the 1500 block of Amulet Street at around 6 p.m. Saturday and found a woman with multiple stab wounds. It identified her as Tamela Berguin, 55, of Natchitoches, and reported the Natchitoches Parish Coroner's Office pronounced her dead at the scene. It reported Davis was found inside the home, was identified as the suspect, was taken into custody without incident, and was booked into the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center. The page's schema lists article:published_time and article:modified_time as the same value, 2026-11-01T01:04:12.236Z. The visible date line says Published: Oct. 31, 2026 at 8:04 PM CDT. The Sunday 11/1 label is in the body. The schema does not print a separate clock for that label. The caption under the portrait on that update is Darrell Davis (NPD).
KTBS, in a story dated Nov. 1, 2026, reported a Natchitoches man is accused of second-degree murder. It reported that, according to the Natchitoches Police Department, Darrell Davis is accused in the stabbing death of 55-year-old Tamela Berguin, that this happened on the 1500 block of Amulet street around 6 p.m. Saturday, and that the 33-year-old Davis was arrested inside the home and booked into the Lasalle Correctional Center without any issues. It reported the case is still under investigation. Second degree murder and second-degree murder are not the same spelling. Amulet Street and Amulet street are not the same capitalization. Found inside the home, and arrested inside the home, are not the same sentence. Without incident and without any issues are not the same words. The Natchitoches Parish Detention Center and the Lasalle Correctional Center are not the same facility. KTBS does not print multiple stab wounds, the Natchitoches Parish Coroner's Office, or that she was pronounced dead at the scene. KALB's Sunday update does. KTBS does not print that she was of Natchitoches. KALB does. Around 6 p.m. is the time both the Sunday update and KTBS print.
The same KALB page, in a block labeled PRIOR UPDATE, reported the Natchitoches Police Department confirmed a woman was killed Saturday following an apparent domestic stabbing, and that police were at a home in the 1500 block of Amulet Street by around 7 p.m. Saturday night. That block names Tamela Berguin, of Natchitoches, and does not print her age. Around 6 p.m. and by around 7 p.m. are not the same time. The Sunday update does not use the word domestic. KTBS does not use it either. A block labeled PRIOR REPORT says that at around 7:40 p.m. Saturday KALB received reports of a possible homicide involving a female victim on Amulet Street, and that the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's Office confirmed law enforcement was on the street while NPD conducted a homicide investigation. That 7:40 p.m. clock is when KALB says it received the reports. It is not an arrival time. KALB reported anyone with information was asked to contact NPD Detective Gavin Watson at (318) 951-0786. Charged with second degree murder is the count KALB reports. It is not a finding that Davis killed Tamela Berguin. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

WJLA says Judge Neal Kravitz found Jaime Macedo guilty of voluntary manslaughter while armed. NBC4 says he pleaded guilty to manslaughter.
