Indianapolis police arrested David White after both of his parents were stabbed to death at their north-side home.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police officers were called just before 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11, 2026, to Lakeshire Lane near West 96th Street and Township Line Road. WISH-TV and WRTV reported that a woman died at the scene and a man died after he was taken to a hospital. Police identified the man detained at the home as David White, 38, and said the two people killed were his parents.

A preliminary murder charge is an accusation. It is not a conviction. WISH-TV reported that investigators believe the stabbing followed a mental-health episode, and that the department's Mobile Crisis Assistance Team had been called to the home before. A documented crisis history is context for the police account. It does not decide what happened in that house on Sunday.

WISH-TV and WRTV reported that officers found a man and a woman with stab wounds inside a home in the 2700 block of Lakeshire Lane. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The man was taken to a hospital in critical condition and died shortly after he arrived. A man was detained at the scene and later arrested on preliminary murder charges. IMPD identified him as David White, 38. WIBC also reported that police had identified the man accused of killing his parents.

The Indianapolis Star reported that the arrest was in the North Pointe Bay condominium complex along 96th Street, and that police and neighbors described a history of mental-health trouble. WISH-TV reported that investigators believe the two people who were killed were White's parents, and that the Mobile Crisis Assistance Team, which works with Eskenazi Health, had been to the home several times. The victims' names were not in the local accounts used here. The weapon was not identified in those reports.

A detention at the scene and a preliminary murder charge are how a homicide file opens. They are not a finding about intent, about the mental-health history, or about what a jury would do with either. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Amarillo police booked Allen Plumlee on aggravated kidnapping and a third-or-more DWI after a Sunday night crash.

An aggravated-kidnapping booking is an accusation. It is not a conviction. The arrest report says a woman told officers she drove because she feared for her life. That statement is the state's account of the ride. It has not been tested in court.

A Bettendorf credit union employee is charged with taking $28,326.28 from customer accounts, most of them belonging to people who had died.

A theft filing built from account records is an accusation. It is not a finding that every dollar in the complaint moved the way police describe. KWQC reported that one account lost $21,279.51 and that the total across seven accounts was $28,326.28, six of them belonging to people who had died. Those figures are what the charging papers claim.
