A criminal homicide charge and a no-bail jail order are process. They are not a finding that she killed him. On Monday, Oct. 5, 2026, Dawn Freeman, 44, was arraigned and lodged in Cambria County Prison after Bradley Freeman, 40, was found shot once in the chest Sunday at their Adams Township home. The Tribune-Democrat, citing an affidavit by Trooper Stephanie Smith, reported she told investigators she fired to "show him a lesson." That account is what police say she said. It is not a plea, and it is not a conviction.
On Monday morning, Oct. 5, 2026, Dawn Freeman was arraigned on criminal homicide, aggravated assault, and recklessly endangering another person, WJAC and The Tribune-Democrat reported. Court records cited by both outlets put her in the Cambria County Prison with bail denied. Law&Crime, citing court records, reported the same no-bond custody after a Monday arraignment. A booking and a bail order hold her for court. They do not decide the charges.
The shooting was Sunday, Oct. 4, at the couple's home on Mine 42 Road in Adams Township. WJAC reported emergency crews were called to the 300 block just before 4:30 p.m. Law&Crime, citing a Pennsylvania State Police public information report, reported troopers responded at about 6:37 p.m. after local police asked for help, and that police said there was no active threat to the public. Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees said Bradley Freeman, 40, was pronounced dead at the scene from a single gunshot wound to the chest, and that an autopsy Monday ruled the death a homicide, The Tribune-Democrat reported. A coroner's ruling names a cause and a manner. It is not a criminal verdict.
Trooper Stephanie Smith's affidavit, as The Tribune-Democrat reported it, says Dawn Freeman told investigators her husband had for about two years left a 9mm where children could reach it. On Sunday, the affidavit says, she came home, became "angry" that the gun was in the living room, and that he would not move it. State police said she told them she picked it up, pointed it toward him, and pulled the trigger to "show him a lesson." The affidavit says she then threw the gun across the room and "screamed," that her son helped her call 911, and that he performed CPR until police and medics arrived. Investigators reported a black Smith & Wesson in the living room, one 9mm shell casing behind the couch, and a bullet behind the front door. WJAC reported she told police she had "begged" him to stop leaving the gun out. Those sentences are the affidavit. They are her alleged words to police, not a fact the court has found. District Attorney Jessica Aurandt approved the charges, The Tribune-Democrat reported. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Tuscaloosa police charged Daronte Collins with felony murder after a Saturday apartment-complex shooting.
WBRC's jail photo is captioned Daronte Collins and puts both men at 22. The Tuscaloosa Thread, citing Violent Crimes Unit Lt. Michael Hall, spells the charged man Deronte and puts both at 20. Patch and the Calhoun Journal also use Daronte and 20. A felony-murder count, which the Thread and the Journal describe as Alabama's rule when someone dies during a robbery, is not a finding that Collins fired the shot that killed Tyson. The Thread says the 25-year-old has not been charged.

High Point police charged Kymberli Bowden with first-degree murder in her 13-year-old daughter's death.
The Oct. 8 release is a new murder count on a case the department charged in 2025 as felony child abuse and concealment of death. It is not a trial. The murder-charge release says she remains in jail with no bond. WXII reported a violent-offense hold and a $1 million bond on the older counts. The 2025 release listed her age as 44. The murder-charge release, WXII, and FOX 35 Orlando list 45.

Chicago police charged Chevazz Campbell in the stabbing death of CTA janitor Julian Mobley.
A detention hearing is the first court date. It is not a finding that Campbell stabbed anyone. The department's Sunday release says he robbed and fatally stabbed a 41-year-old man in the 2000 block of West Lake Street. ABC7 and CBS Chicago name that man as Julian Mobley and describe a fare dispute that turned into a stabbing. The department's charge list and CBS Chicago's shorter summary do not match count for count.
