Pineville police said officers found April (Barlow) Celio, 41, dead on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2026, in the 300 block of George Martin Drive, and that she was the victim of a homicide. U.S. Marshals arrested him the night of Sept. 30. He is being held in Tennessee awaiting extradition.

The warrants are the charges. They are not a finding that Johnson-Wright killed April Celio, and they are not a finding about a pregnancy. WYMT reported he was booked into the Montgomery County Detention Center to await extradition to Kentucky. No Kentucky arraignment has been reported.
The Pineville Police Department said officers responded on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2026, to a dead person in the 300 block of George Martin Drive in Pineville, Kentucky, WYMT reported. Officers and the Bell County Coroner's Office determined that 41-year-old April (Barlow) Celio was the victim of a homicide. On Thursday, Sept. 24, WYMT reported, investigators developed information that she was pregnant at the time of her death. The State Medical Examiner's Office found no fetus in the womb. While processing the scene, Pineville police, the Bell County Sheriff's Office, and Kentucky State Police recovered what investigators and medical examiners believed to be fetal remains. That is the examiners' finding and the investigators' description of what was recovered at the scene. It is not testimony a jury has heard.
WYMT reported the investigation identified DeMarcus Kenneth Johnson-Wright, and that police said he had an extensive violent criminal history and several outstanding violent felony warrants out of Tennessee. A police description of an earlier history is not a conviction in this case. On Friday, Sept. 25, Bell County District Court issued warrants for robbery, first degree, and kidnapping, adult, WYMT and WBKO reported. On Wednesday, Sept. 30, the same court issued warrants for murder, domestic violence, and tampering with physical evidence. WSMV, citing the U.S. Marshals Service, reported those same dates and counts, and said the Bell County Sheriff's Office identified Celio. The Middlesboro News reported Johnson-Wright is of Clarksville, Tennessee. The counts on the warrants are robbery, kidnapping, murder, and tampering with physical evidence. No age for him appears in those accounts.
WYMT reported investigators developed information that Johnson-Wright was living in the 200 block of Timber Court Drive in Clarksville, Tennessee. The U.S. Marshals Central Kentucky Fugitive Task Force asked for help from the Middle Tennessee Fugitive Task Force in Nashville, the Clarksville Police Department Special Operations Unit, and the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office K-9 unit. At or around 11 p.m. CST on Sept. 30, those agencies arrested him at that address, WYMT reported. WBKO reported the arrest at approximately 11 p.m. CST. He was taken to the Clarksville police Special Operations office for an interview with Bell County sheriff's investigators and the Marshals. A search warrant for the home was granted, and investigators recovered materials relating to the case. The accounts do not say what those materials were. WYMT, WBKO, WSMV, and the Middlesboro News reported he was booked into the Montgomery County Detention Center in Tennessee to await extradition to Kentucky. FOX 17's Oct. 7 report of the Clarksville arrest did not say he had been taken to Kentucky. An arrest on an out-of-state warrant is not an arraignment. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Tuscaloosa police charged Daronte Collins with felony murder after a Saturday apartment-complex shooting.
WBRC's jail photo is captioned Daronte Collins and puts both men at 22. The Tuscaloosa Thread, citing Violent Crimes Unit Lt. Michael Hall, spells the charged man Deronte and puts both at 20. Patch and the Calhoun Journal also use Daronte and 20. A felony-murder count, which the Thread and the Journal describe as Alabama's rule when someone dies during a robbery, is not a finding that Collins fired the shot that killed Tyson. The Thread says the 25-year-old has not been charged.

High Point police charged Kymberli Bowden with first-degree murder in her 13-year-old daughter's death.
The Oct. 8 release is a new murder count on a case the department charged in 2025 as felony child abuse and concealment of death. It is not a trial. The murder-charge release says she remains in jail with no bond. WXII reported a violent-offense hold and a $1 million bond on the older counts. The 2025 release listed her age as 44. The murder-charge release, WXII, and FOX 35 Orlando list 45.

Chicago police charged Chevazz Campbell in the stabbing death of CTA janitor Julian Mobley.
A detention hearing is the first court date. It is not a finding that Campbell stabbed anyone. The department's Sunday release says he robbed and fatally stabbed a 41-year-old man in the 2000 block of West Lake Street. ABC7 and CBS Chicago name that man as Julian Mobley and describe a fare dispute that turned into a stabbing. The department's charge list and CBS Chicago's shorter summary do not match count for count.
