Saline County booked Dickie Johnson on a capital murder charge after Troy Hendrix was found shot.

The Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reported Saturday, Oct. 10, 2026, that Dickie Johnson was arrested Friday after deputies found Troy Hendrix, 30, shot on the 700 block of Martin Road, and that a sheriff's office release lists Johnson as 77 and held with no bond. KATV and KARK reported the same arrest and listed his age as 72.

A capital murder booking after a fatal shooting is the charge, and it is not a finding that Dickie Johnson shot Troy Hendrix. The Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, citing a sheriff's office release, gives his age as 77 and includes driving while intoxicated. KATV and KARK give his age as 72, and KATV's charge list does not include that DWI count.

The Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reported Saturday, Oct. 10, 2026, that a man was arrested Friday after authorities said he fatally shot another man in Saline County, then fled before deputies captured him. The paper, citing a Saline County sheriff's office news release, reported that about 4 p.m. Friday deputies found Troy Hendrix, 30, suffering from a gunshot wound while responding to a shooting on the 700 block of Martin Road, and that Hendrix was pronounced dead at the scene. KATV reported that on Oct. 9, at approximately 4 p.m., deputies responded to that block, found Hendrix with a gunshot wound, and that he was pronounced dead at the scene. KARK reported deputies responded around 4 p.m. Oct. 9 and that Hendrix was pronounced dead at the scene. KARK's lede called the shooting Thursday afternoon. The Democrat-Gazette called the day Friday. KATV dated the call Oct. 9. A gunshot death at the scene is the fact the three accounts share.

The Democrat-Gazette, citing the release, identified the man as Dickie Johnson, 77. It reported he fled before deputies arrived, was found a short distance away, and was arrested. KATV identified the suspect as 72-year-old Dickie Johnson, who fled before deputies arrived, was located a short distance away, and was taken into custody. KARK identified Dickie Johnson, 72, and reported he left the area before deputies arrived and was later located a short distance away and taken into custody. The name is the same in all three. The age is not. Seventy-seven is the figure the Democrat-Gazette attributes to the sheriff's release. Seventy-two is the figure KATV and KARK print.

The Democrat-Gazette reported Johnson faces capital murder, performing a terroristic act, driving while intoxicated, and endangering the welfare of a minor, and that as of Saturday he was held at the Saline County jail with no bond set. KARK reported he was booked at the Saline County Detention Facility on capital murder, terroristic act, driving while intoxicated, and endangering the welfare of a minor. KATV reported the same facility and listed capital murder, terroristic act, and endangering the welfare of a minor. KATV's list does not include driving while intoxicated. KARK reported that authorities have not released additional details about the circumstances and that the investigation remains ongoing. KATV reported that no further information is available for release. Only the Democrat-Gazette reports that no bond was set. The endangering count is in all three accounts, and none of them names a child. A charge list after a death investigation is the accusation. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Tuscaloosa police charged Daronte Collins with felony murder after a Saturday apartment-complex shooting.

WBRC's jail photo is captioned Daronte Collins and puts both men at 22. The Tuscaloosa Thread, citing Violent Crimes Unit Lt. Michael Hall, spells the charged man Deronte and puts both at 20. Patch and the Calhoun Journal also use Daronte and 20. A felony-murder count, which the Thread and the Journal describe as Alabama's rule when someone dies during a robbery, is not a finding that Collins fired the shot that killed Tyson. The Thread says the 25-year-old has not been charged.

High Point police charged Kymberli Bowden with first-degree murder in her 13-year-old daughter's death.

The Oct. 8 release is a new murder count on a case the department charged in 2025 as felony child abuse and concealment of death. It is not a trial. The murder-charge release says she remains in jail with no bond. WXII reported a violent-offense hold and a $1 million bond on the older counts. The 2025 release listed her age as 44. The murder-charge release, WXII, and FOX 35 Orlando list 45.

Chicago police charged Chevazz Campbell in the stabbing death of CTA janitor Julian Mobley.

A detention hearing is the first court date. It is not a finding that Campbell stabbed anyone. The department's Sunday release says he robbed and fatally stabbed a 41-year-old man in the 2000 block of West Lake Street. ABC7 and CBS Chicago name that man as Julian Mobley and describe a fare dispute that turned into a stabbing. The department's charge list and CBS Chicago's shorter summary do not match count for count.
