So far the public record is an incident report and a warrant. It does not describe what happened or how anyone was hurt, and Laroda has not commented. A charge is not a conviction.

Former Call of Duty League pro Donovan "Temp" Laroda, 27, has been arrested in Texas on a domestic violence aggravated assault charge, Dexerto reported Friday, Oct. 23, 2026, citing police records. Dexerto reported he was named in an Irving Police Department incident report dated Oct. 14 stating that a warrant was issued for domestic violence aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury, a second-degree felony under Texas law.

The report says officers first responded to a possible domestic incident at about 4:08 a.m. on Oct. 14 before the call became a welfare check, according to Dexerto. "Reportee arrived on scene and provided further information which led to the authoring and issuance of a warrant for Domestic Violence Aggravated Assault causing SBI," the report states, Dexerto reported. The report lists a Glock 17 handgun and two magazines as property held for safekeeping but does not say whether the gun was connected to the alleged assault, and it gives no further details about the circumstances or the reported injuries.

Insider Gaming and Esport Now reported that news of the arrest spread after Laroda's mugshot appeared on a social media page that posts Irving arrest information. Dexerto reported a second-degree felony in Texas carries two to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000. Dexerto said it reached out to Laroda for comment.

Laroda competed in Call of Duty esports for about a decade for organizations including Envy, Splyce, the New York Subliners, the Los Angeles Thieves, Paris Legion and Las Vegas Legion, Insider Gaming and Esport Now reported. Esport Now reported he won an X Games bronze medal in 2015 with Elevate. Insider Gaming reported he left the CDL in 2023 and has worked mostly as a coach since mid-2024. Telluride Bush Gaming announced on July 24, 2026, that he was no longer its coach, both outlets reported.

The alleged victim has not been publicly identified. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Booking photo of Ivy Hatch released by the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office
Pop Culture

By Crime Talk Network Staff Writer

Boosie Badazz's son Ivy Hatch was arrested on armed robbery and battery charges in Livingston Parish.

This is an arrest and a booking, not a finding. The sheriff's office says a victim reported being battered and robbed and that its investigation led to two arrests. Those are allegations in a booking sheet. No court has heard evidence, no prosecutor has filed a bill of information that any outlet has described, and the famous last name changes nothing about the standard the state has to meet. The next real event is whatever the district attorney decides to charge.

Laura Owens was sentenced in Phoenix to 30 days in jail in the fabricated-pregnancy case involving Clayton Echard.

The jail figure is the part 12News and FOX 10 share: 30 days, and 12News said that term ends Nov. 22. The probation figure is not shared. 12News said several years of supervised probation and a deferred jail sentence. FOX 10 said seven years. KTAR is the plea: four counts on Aug. 28, with ten others the agreement says will be dismissed. Prison is what Echard asked for, KTAR reported, and what 12News said the judge did not impose. These accounts did not name the judge.

Faizon Love at a film premiere

A San Diego judge granted Faizon Love two years of mental health diversion and took next week's trial off the calendar.

Diversion postpones the case. It does not dismiss it, and it does not produce a verdict. Harutunian said he disagrees with California's diversion statute and that he is required to follow it. He found prosecutors had not met the statute's clear-and-convincing standard. NBC 7 reported the diagnosis was not said in open court, and the clerk is not named.
