Hemingway was charged with rape and robbery in a Wilkinsburg filing.
A Sept. 26, 2026 court filing added rape, sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, and robbery counts against Elijah Hemingway, 32, of Pittsburgh. The counts concern a reported Sept. 23 sexual assault in Wilkinsburg, and they are accusations only.

New sexual-assault and robbery counts filed after a homicide booking are separate accusations. They are not a conviction on either case. The new counts come from a Sept. 26, 2026 court filing and concern a reported sexual assault in Wilkinsburg on the morning of Sept. 23. The Edgewood homicide case is a different accusation, and this filing does not decide it.
The Sept. 26 filing charges rape, sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, and robbery. The counts stem from a reported sexual assault at about 10:30 a.m. on Sept. 23, 2026, on a path connecting an alley to West Street in Wilkinsburg. The victim is a woman who said she was sexually assaulted by a man she did not know. Detectives found multiple items connecting Hemingway to that incident, plus the woman's cell phone, which had been reported stolen. Wilkinsburg Police contacted Allegheny County detectives during the Edgewood investigation. Those are charging allegations. They are not findings.
Hemingway, 32, of Pittsburgh, is already charged with criminal homicide and related counts in the Sept. 24, 2026 Edgewood stabbing death of Dr. Idris Evans. Evans was the pediatric transport co-medical director at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh and an assistant professor. Evans' wife was also stabbed and was treated at AHN Forbes Regional. Hemingway was arrested the same day. He told police that Evans invited him and attacked first. Police said they found no supporting evidence, and that he could not provide specifics. That account is his statement to police. The homicide counts remain accusations.
The Wilkinsburg filing and the Edgewood homicide case are separate accusations. Neither filing is a conviction. Hemingway is presumed innocent on the rape, sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, and robbery counts, and on the homicide counts as well.

Tuscaloosa police charged Daronte Collins with felony murder after a Saturday apartment-complex shooting.
WBRC's jail photo is captioned Daronte Collins and puts both men at 22. The Tuscaloosa Thread, citing Violent Crimes Unit Lt. Michael Hall, spells the charged man Deronte and puts both at 20. Patch and the Calhoun Journal also use Daronte and 20. A felony-murder count, which the Thread and the Journal describe as Alabama's rule when someone dies during a robbery, is not a finding that Collins fired the shot that killed Tyson. The Thread says the 25-year-old has not been charged.

High Point police charged Kymberli Bowden with first-degree murder in her 13-year-old daughter's death.
The Oct. 8 release is a new murder count on a case the department charged in 2025 as felony child abuse and concealment of death. It is not a trial. The murder-charge release says she remains in jail with no bond. WXII reported a violent-offense hold and a $1 million bond on the older counts. The 2025 release listed her age as 44. The murder-charge release, WXII, and FOX 35 Orlando list 45.

Chicago police charged Chevazz Campbell in the stabbing death of CTA janitor Julian Mobley.
A detention hearing is the first court date. It is not a finding that Campbell stabbed anyone. The department's Sunday release says he robbed and fatally stabbed a 41-year-old man in the 2000 block of West Lake Street. ABC7 and CBS Chicago name that man as Julian Mobley and describe a fare dispute that turned into a stabbing. The department's charge list and CBS Chicago's shorter summary do not match count for count.
