What police have said is limited. Revell described an altercation among two or three people and called it an isolated incident, according to the outlets at his overnight briefing. As of Sunday morning nobody was in custody, no one had been named as a suspect, and one person remained in critical condition. No one was killed.
The Tallahassee Police Department said 12 people were injured, 11 of them by gunfire, in a shooting on Perry Street near Florida A&M University's Bragg Memorial Stadium just after 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026, WCTV reported. The shooting came after FAMU's homecoming game against Arkansas-Pine Bluff, which FAMU lost, Fox News and NBC News reported. One of the 12 was not shot and was hurt while running from the gunfire, according to WCTV and the Associated Press.
WCTV reported that six of the injured were adults and six were minors, the youngest 11 years old. Crime Talk Network is not naming any of the people who were hurt. The Tallahassee Democrat and NBC News reported that one of the victims is believed to be a FAMU student. Police said there were no fatalities.
Police Chief Lawrence Revell opened an overnight news conference by saying, "I stand before you tonight devastated," according to the Tallahassee Democrat and NBC News. The outlets reported Revell described an altercation involving two or three individuals and called the shooting an isolated incident. Fox News reported that, as of Sunday, five of the injured had been released from the hospital and six remained hospitalized, one in critical condition. WCTV reported the same hospital figures from the Sunday-morning update: six hospitalized and one critical.
Revell said in a Sunday press release, "We will determine what happened, identify those responsible, and get answers for all of the victims, their families and everyone impacted by this tragedy," WCTV reported. He added, "We need our community's help. No detail is too small, and no piece of information should go unreported." WCTV reported that the department's Violent Crimes Unit worked through the night on digital evidence, that officers were back at the scene Sunday collecting evidence, and that FAMU told students Saturday night to avoid the area. Florida State University also urged people on its campus to stay indoors Saturday night.
Police set up a dedicated tip line at 850-891-4610, and tips can be left anonymously with Crime Stoppers at 850-574-TIPS, WCTV reported. The department also opened an online portal for photos and video. The Daily Mail also covered the shooting Sunday. As of Sunday, no one had been arrested or charged. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The NYPD email JNS quoted put the stabbing call at about 7:50 p.m. and the first attack at about 5:50 p.m. at West 45th Street and Sixth Avenue. Atlanta police charged Nikolai Dunford with first-degree vehicular homicide in the crash that killed Clark Atlanta student Morgan Gamble.
The speed is the core of the police account, and it comes from police, not a court. The Daily Mail reported the 94-mph figure from Atlanta police. Gamble's sister was quoted citing 95 in a 30 zone, which is the family's words, not the police figure. Dunford's lawyer has asked that the process be allowed to proceed carefully and fairly. A charge is not a conviction.

Passaic County prosecutors charged Edwin Betancur with murder in the Paterson shooting of Joshua Fernandez.
Sunday's announcement is an arrest and a charging decision. It does not include a motive, a witness account, or a court date. The Paterson Times printed the statutory exposure on each count. That is the range a conviction can bring. It is not a sentence. A charge is not a conviction.
