A hit-and-run and DUI booking stack, and a reported breath number, are investigation claims and process. They are not a finding that every element is proved, including that this driver caused the pedestrian's injuries. Gabriel Fulgencio, 23, of Santaquin, was booked into the Utah County Jail.
KSL, citing a Utah County Sheriff's Office booking affidavit, says deputies were called Sunday morning, Sept. 20, 2026, to the area of 3100 West and 7300 South in Benjamin. The call was that a man walking on the road was struck by a black Ram pickup that did not stop. The affidavit says the pedestrian suffered substantial bodily injury and was taken to a hospital in critical condition. A deputy responding to the scene spotted a black pickup with front-end damage and pulled it over. A damaged truck near a reported strike is a lead. It is not proof of causation.
Fulgencio told deputies he was coming back from a get-together at a friend's house, that he may have been in an accident, and that he may have hit something but was not sure. He said he was driving, hit something, and did not stop because he was scared. Deputies described his reaction as shock when he was told the thing he may have hit was a person. He was arrested about 9:30 a.m. He said he stopped drinking about 4 a.m. The affidavit says he agreed to standardized field sobriety tests and that the deputy saw enough clues to call him impaired and unsafe to drive. A breath test measured 0.139 percent, which KSL reported as nearly three times the legal limit. Those are statement and test claims. He was booked for investigation of negligently operating a vehicle causing serious injury, leaving the scene of an injury accident, drug possession, DUI, and use of drug paraphernalia. Booked for investigation is a jail caption. It is not a conviction, and a breath number does not prove he caused the injuries. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Tuscaloosa police charged Daronte Collins with felony murder after a Saturday apartment-complex shooting.
WBRC's jail photo is captioned Daronte Collins and puts both men at 22. The Tuscaloosa Thread, citing Violent Crimes Unit Lt. Michael Hall, spells the charged man Deronte and puts both at 20. Patch and the Calhoun Journal also use Daronte and 20. A felony-murder count, which the Thread and the Journal describe as Alabama's rule when someone dies during a robbery, is not a finding that Collins fired the shot that killed Tyson. The Thread says the 25-year-old has not been charged.

High Point police charged Kymberli Bowden with first-degree murder in her 13-year-old daughter's death.
The Oct. 8 release is a new murder count on a case the department charged in 2025 as felony child abuse and concealment of death. It is not a trial. The murder-charge release says she remains in jail with no bond. WXII reported a violent-offense hold and a $1 million bond on the older counts. The 2025 release listed her age as 44. The murder-charge release, WXII, and FOX 35 Orlando list 45.

Chicago police charged Chevazz Campbell in the stabbing death of CTA janitor Julian Mobley.
A detention hearing is the first court date. It is not a finding that Campbell stabbed anyone. The department's Sunday release says he robbed and fatally stabbed a 41-year-old man in the 2000 block of West Lake Street. ABC7 and CBS Chicago name that man as Julian Mobley and describe a fare dispute that turned into a stabbing. The department's charge list and CBS Chicago's shorter summary do not match count for count.
