UTV prints the age as 24 and says the body was beaten and burned beside a car set ablaze in the Edward Street area. The Belfast Telegraph prints 34 and says beaten and burned inside a car ablaze. Belfast Live's updated text says beaten and beside a burning car, and prints 34.

Age 34 and age 24 are not the same age. Maple Court and the Edward Street area are not the same place. Beside a burning car, beaten and burned beside a car set ablaze, beaten and burned inside a car ablaze, and beaten and beside a burning car are not the same account. The guilty plea is the conviction on Scullion's murder count. The life term is the sentence. The minimum is not set. Harte, Stevenson, McClelland, and Redden deny the counts against them.
BBC News, with no byline and no clock printed on the page retrieved November 3, 2026, reported a County Armagh man has been given a life sentence for murdering a 23-year-old nursing student. It spells the name Odhrán Kelly, with an accent, and reported his body was found beside a burning car in Maple Court in Lurgan in December 2023. It reported Gary Damien Scullion, 34, from Edward Street in Lurgan, was one of five people arrested and charged in the aftermath, and that he had appeared at Belfast Crown Court in November 2024, where he denied the charge. UTV, on the ITV News page, timestamped Tuesday 3 November 2026 at 6:43 p.m., reported a man was told he faces a life sentence after admitting he murdered 23-year old student Odhran Kelly, without the accent, and that the body was found beaten and burned beside a car set ablaze in the Edward Street area of Lurgan in December 2023. It prints Scullion's age as 24. The Belfast Telegraph prints the age as 34 and reports the body was found beaten and burned inside a car ablaze in the Edward Street area of Lurgan in December 2023. Belfast Live, by Ashleigh Mcdonald, published at 14:38 on 03 Nov 2026 and updated at 17:33, with no zone, prints 34, spells the name Odhran, and reports the body was found beaten and beside a burning car in the Edward Street area. Age 34, on BBC News, The Belfast Telegraph, and Belfast Live, and age 24, on UTV, are not the same age. Maple Court, and the Edward Street area, are not the same place. Edward Street is also the address those pages give for Scullion. Beside a burning car, beside a car set ablaze, and inside a car ablaze are not the same place for the body. Beaten and burned, on UTV and The Belfast Telegraph, and beaten and beside, on the updated Belfast Live page, are not the same sentence. 23-year-old, on BBC News and The Belfast Telegraph, and 23-year old, on UTV and Belfast Live, are not the same hyphen. Odhrán and Odhran are not the same spelling.
BBC News reported that on Tuesday Scullion, flanked by two prison staff, confirmed his identity to a court clerk, that the family sat in the public gallery, that he was re-arraigned on a charge of murder, and that asked how he now pleaded he replied "guilty". It reported Mr Justice Fowler said that in light of the plea there was only one sentence that could be imposed, "and that is one of life imprisonment", and that the length of time he will spend in prison will be determined at a later date. UTV reported the same dock, the same gallery, and the reply "Guilty." It reported the judge said that in light of the new plea there was only one sentence, and that a date for the Tariff hearing, which the page defines as the length of time he will spend in prison, will be determined at a later date. Faces a life sentence, in the UTV lede, and one of life imprisonment, in the judge's words on the same page, are not the same status. The length of time, on BBC News, and a date for the Tariff hearing, on UTV, are not the same thing being set later. Belfast Live prints the reply "guilty." and the same Tariff-hearing sentence. The Belfast Telegraph prints the reply "Guilty." and the judge's line that the only sentence was one of life imprisonment. It prints that the re-arraignment was on a charge of murdering Odhran Kelly on December 3, 2023. Belfast Live prints that date on the charge. BBC News prints December 2023 and does not print December 3. UTV prints December 2023 in the discovery sentence and December 3, 2023, on the assisting counts. The Belfast Telegraph prints Eugene Grant KC's application, "My Lord, the defence respectfully applies for Mr Scullion to be re-arraigned on the only count he faces." Belfast Live prints "apply" in that sentence, not "applies". UTV does not print that application. UTV and Belfast Live reported Grant asked for a pre-sentence report ahead of the tariff hearing, and that Mr Justice Fowler said Scullion's attendance on November 13 was not required. BBC News and the Belfast Telegraph text used here do not print November 13 or a pre-sentence report.
UTV reported crown barrister David McNeill said the case against the four co-accused was listed again on November 13. It reported Shane Harte, 34, from Garland Avenue in Lurgan, and Andrea Catherine Theresa Stevenson, 45, from Faulkner Heights in Bangor, Co Down, both deny murdering Kelly. It reported Stevenson also denies assisting offenders by assisting others "in the removal and destruction of Odhran Kelly's body" on December 3, 2023. It reported Stephanie McClelland, 38, from Lagmore Grove in Lisburn, denied the same assisting count on that date, and that Crystal Angela Redden, 33, from Gort Mhaoilir in Athenry, Co Galway, denies perverting the course of justice on four days later by making and signing a false statement of evidence to police. Belfast Live prints Harte at 34 from Garland Avenue, denying murder, and Stevenson at 45 from Faulkner Heights in Bangor, without Co Down in that line, denying murder and the same assisting count. It prints McClelland at 38 from Lagmore Grove denying that assisting count, and Redden at 33 from Gort Mhaoilir in Raheen, Athenry, denying perverting the course of justice on December 7, 2023, by making and signing a false statement. Athenry, and Raheen, Athenry, are not the same line. On four days later, and December 7, 2023, are not the same printed date. Deny, and denied, are not the same tense. BBC News says five people were arrested and charged and does not name the other four on the page retrieved. The guilty plea is the conviction on Scullion's murder count. The life term is the sentence on that count. The minimum is not set. The co-accused deny the counts those pages list. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The Middle District of Georgia release says Judge Self sentenced Josue Serda to life in prison. FOX 5 Atlanta and WSB-TV say life without parole.
Life in prison, and life without parole, and there is no parole in the federal system, are not the same sentence. More than 50 kilograms of methamphetamine, and 50 kilograms, are not the same quantity. Three investigations, and one ring that seized more than 200 kilograms, are not the same case. A charge against Raul Perez-Mondragon is an allegation.

Roland Chatmon and three others pleaded guilty in the kidnapping of his uncle, Curtis Dixon.
A guilty plea is the conviction on the counts a defendant admits. It is not the prison term. FOX 2 and the New York Post say the four kidnapping defendants face a mandatory minimum of seven years and a maximum of life, with hearings in 2027. WXYZ reported that all five, including Kenneth Anderson, face that range. FOX 2, CBS Detroit, and the Post say Anderson was already sentenced to probation.

An Ottawa jury found Fsha Tekhle guilty of first-degree murder in the stabbing of Brkti Berhe.
A first-degree murder verdict is the jury's finding on that count. CBC wrote that the conviction comes with automatic life sentences, plural, and no eligibility for parole for 25 years. The Ottawa Citizen described an automatic sentence of life without parole for 25 years. No eligibility for parole for 25 years, and life without parole for 25 years, are not the same words. Tekhle admitted causing the death and pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder.
