Deputies charged Grace Edge, 76, with murder after two people were found shot to death at a Toombs County home.

The Toombs County Sheriff's Office said deputies called about 2:19 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19, 2026, found Wallace Truman Edge, 75, and Pamela Cook, 40, dead inside a McNatt Falls Road house. Diane Cook, 55, was wounded. Grace Edge, his former spouse, is in the county jail.

The outlets do not agree on the house number, on the full charge list, or on whether the GBI has taken over the investigation. They do agree on the two people who died and on who is in custody. A first-appearance hearing is what comes next. It had not been reported as held.

Toombs County deputies were called Monday, Oct. 19, 2026, about 2:19 p.m. to a report of three people shot at a home on McNatt Falls Road, the Toombs County Sheriff's Office said, according to WGXA and WSB-TV. The address is not the same in every account. WGXA said the 180 block. WSB-TV said the 100 block. WTOC and The Georgia Sun said 188 McNatt Falls Road, and WTOC said deputies started the investigation there just before 2:20 p.m. Inside, deputies found Wallace Truman Edge, 75, and Pamela Cook, 40, dead, WGXA, WSB-TV, WTOC and The Georgia Sun reported. WSB-TV, WTOC and The Georgia Sun identified the wounded person as Diane Cook, 55, and said the gunshot wound was not life-threatening. WGXA described a 55-year-old with a non-life-threatening injury and did not print the name.

The sheriff's office said Wallace Edge's former spouse, Grace Edge, 76, immediately became a "person of strong interest" and was arrested, WGXA and WTOC reported. She is being held at the Toombs County Detention Center pending a first-appearance hearing, WSB-TV and The Georgia Sun reported. WSB-TV, citing jail records, said she faces two counts of malice murder, two counts of felony murder and three counts of aggravated assault. WGXA, citing the sheriff's office, and The Georgia Sun listed the same seven counts. WTOC's update at 10:12 p.m. Monday listed two counts of malice murder and three counts of aggravated assault in the deaths of Wallace Edge and Pamela Cook and the shooting of Diane Cook, and it did not mention felony murder. Seven counts and five counts are not the same booking. The later jail-record account is the one WSB-TV published Tuesday morning.

Who is running the investigation is also split. WTOC reported Monday night that the Georgia Bureau of Investigation is now the lead agency. WGXA reported the GBI is assisting and that the sheriff's office had determined there is no threat to the public. WGXA said it had asked the sheriff's office and the GBI for more and had not received it. None of the accounts used here gave a motive or said what happened inside the house before the call. The murder counts are what the sheriff's office and the jail records say she is accused of. They are not a finding about who fired. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Sheriff's officials named Edward Villa as the suspect after Katie Kinder, her son and her mother were found shot to death in Happy Valley.

Thursday's briefing names the three people and names Villa as the only suspect. The warrant was three counts of first-degree murder. He was found dead before an arrest. KPTV, citing Warrenton police, called it an apparent self-inflicted gunshot. KGW reported Detective Matt Lysaght would not go past a gunshot deputies heard, a firearm in the room, and the fact that no officer fired. KPTV and OPB call the motel the South Jetty Inn. The Oregonian calls it the South Jetty Motel.

An Oahu grand jury indicted Orion Satori on a second-degree murder charge in the Young Street stabbing of Kiril Stoimenov.

An indictment means a grand jury found enough to send the case forward. It is not a finding of guilt. Police have said Satori did the stabbing, according to Hawaii News Now. The next step is arraignment, where he will be asked to enter a plea. Second-degree murder in Hawaii carries a maximum of life with the possibility of parole, the station reported.
