A booking for attempted murder is not a conviction, and it is not a finding that the officer was killed. Metro said both were arrested Monday, Sept. 28, 2026, after an off-duty Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department corrections officer was shot Sept. 21 in the 7600 block of West Cheyenne Avenue. Guadalupe is in the Clark County Detention Center. Agustin is in the Los Angeles County Jail pending extradition. Custody and a Tuesday court date are process. They do not decide guilt.
The shooting was reported Sept. 21 at a business in the 7600 block of West Cheyenne Avenue, near North Buffalo Drive. The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported that still photographs and video showed a man in a half-style helmet, dark green jacket, dark pants, and a face covering on a black electric bicycle in the parking lot before he opened fire and struck the off-duty officer. News 3 Las Vegas reported that the officer was walking out of a business when a man on an electric bicycle rode past him more than once and fired several shots. The officer, who has not been publicly named, was hospitalized, underwent surgery, and was in stable condition. Those are the reported facts of the shooting. They are not a verdict.
Guadalupe Ramirez, 48, was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on conspiracy to commit murder, three counts of attempted murder with a deadly weapon, and five counts of discharge of a gun at or into an occupied structure. News 3 Las Vegas reported that a court hearing for him is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 29. A first appearance is a calendar step. It is not a plea and it is not a finding.
Agustin Ramirez, 51, was arrested in California. News 3 Las Vegas reported that the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation Special Service Unit located him, and that he was booked into the Los Angeles County Jail pending extradition to Las Vegas. The charges listed for him are conspiracy to commit murder, three counts of attempted murder with a deadly weapon, five counts of discharge of a gun at or into an occupied structure, and carrying a concealed weapon without a permit. An out-of-state booking and a pending extradition are custody. They are not a conviction. Both men are presumed innocent.

Tuscaloosa police charged Daronte Collins with felony murder after a Saturday apartment-complex shooting.
WBRC's jail photo is captioned Daronte Collins and puts both men at 22. The Tuscaloosa Thread, citing Violent Crimes Unit Lt. Michael Hall, spells the charged man Deronte and puts both at 20. Patch and the Calhoun Journal also use Daronte and 20. A felony-murder count, which the Thread and the Journal describe as Alabama's rule when someone dies during a robbery, is not a finding that Collins fired the shot that killed Tyson. The Thread says the 25-year-old has not been charged.

High Point police charged Kymberli Bowden with first-degree murder in her 13-year-old daughter's death.
The Oct. 8 release is a new murder count on a case the department charged in 2025 as felony child abuse and concealment of death. It is not a trial. The murder-charge release says she remains in jail with no bond. WXII reported a violent-offense hold and a $1 million bond on the older counts. The 2025 release listed her age as 44. The murder-charge release, WXII, and FOX 35 Orlando list 45.

Chicago police charged Chevazz Campbell in the stabbing death of CTA janitor Julian Mobley.
A detention hearing is the first court date. It is not a finding that Campbell stabbed anyone. The department's Sunday release says he robbed and fatally stabbed a 41-year-old man in the 2000 block of West Lake Street. ABC7 and CBS Chicago name that man as Julian Mobley and describe a fare dispute that turned into a stabbing. The department's charge list and CBS Chicago's shorter summary do not match count for count.
