Gonzales was sentenced to 30 months for a health-care kickback conspiracy. A $49 million restitution order is the judgment, not a new count.

Chief Judge Charles Eskridge, in the Southern District of Texas, sentenced Henry Allen Gonzales, 53, of Willis, to 30 months and then one year of supervised release for a health-care kickback conspiracy, with more than $49 million in restitution to DOL-OWCP, after a June 30, 2022 plea. Coverage of that sentence ran around Sept. 18–22, and the sentence is the judgment after the plea.

A sentence after a guilty plea is the judgment. A restitution order of more than $49 million is part of that judgment, not a new count. Chief U.S. District Judge Charles Eskridge, in the Southern District of Texas, sentenced Henry Allen Gonzales, 53, of Willis, Texas, to 30 months in federal prison followed by one year of supervised release after a June 30, 2022 guilty plea to conspiring to pay and receive health care kickbacks. The kickback conspiracy he admitted is the conduct behind that sentence.

Gonzales owned and operated Option 1 Pain & Rehab Clinic, formerly Direct Medical Clinic. He received more than $2 million in kickbacks from Rayford ACP Pharmacy for directing prescriptions for expensive compounded medications. He also paid marketers to recruit Department of Labor Office of Workers' Compensation Programs claimants and bribed doctors to sign prescriptions. He later opened Farmacia and continued billing. From 2015 through 2018, Rayford ACP Pharmacy and Farmacia received about $49,014,183.03 in DOL-OWCP claims tied to medically unnecessary compounded medications, as the Department of Justice stated. Those facts are the admitted conduct behind the June 30, 2022 plea. They are not a new count added when the court imposed sentence.

The court ordered him to pay more than $49 million in restitution to DOL-OWCP. Restitution is part of the judgment. It is not a new accusation. He was permitted to remain free on bond until he voluntarily surrenders to a Bureau of Prisons facility to be designated. Bond until a designated surrender is release status. It is not a dismissal of the sentence. Related coverage noted that Tronown Thomas, a Rayford ACP pharmacist, was convicted on July 11, 2026, of conspiracy to pay health care kickbacks after a trial. That conviction is a related file. The Gonzales sentence was reported in coverage dated around Sept. 18–22, 2026.

Tuscaloosa police charged Daronte Collins with felony murder after a Saturday apartment-complex shooting.

WBRC's jail photo is captioned Daronte Collins and puts both men at 22. The Tuscaloosa Thread, citing Violent Crimes Unit Lt. Michael Hall, spells the charged man Deronte and puts both at 20. Patch and the Calhoun Journal also use Daronte and 20. A felony-murder count, which the Thread and the Journal describe as Alabama's rule when someone dies during a robbery, is not a finding that Collins fired the shot that killed Tyson. The Thread says the 25-year-old has not been charged.

High Point police charged Kymberli Bowden with first-degree murder in her 13-year-old daughter's death.

The Oct. 8 release is a new murder count on a case the department charged in 2025 as felony child abuse and concealment of death. It is not a trial. The murder-charge release says she remains in jail with no bond. WXII reported a violent-offense hold and a $1 million bond on the older counts. The 2025 release listed her age as 44. The murder-charge release, WXII, and FOX 35 Orlando list 45.

Chicago police charged Chevazz Campbell in the stabbing death of CTA janitor Julian Mobley.

A detention hearing is the first court date. It is not a finding that Campbell stabbed anyone. The department's Sunday release says he robbed and fatally stabbed a 41-year-old man in the 2000 block of West Lake Street. ABC7 and CBS Chicago name that man as Julian Mobley and describe a fare dispute that turned into a stabbing. The department's charge list and CBS Chicago's shorter summary do not match count for count.
