An attempted-capital-murder booking is the accusation police wrote down after the call. It is not a conviction. CBS Texas and NBC 5 reported two attempted capital murder counts plus aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. FOX 4 described the charges as preliminary. Northlake Police Chief Robert Crawford said he does not believe the children's injuries are life-threatening.
CBS Texas reported that Northlake police responded around 4:20 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2026, to a home in the 1200 block of Daylily Drive, east of Interstate 35W, after a man told 911 operators that his wife, Holly Leeann Flores, 37, had a knife and had stabbed him. NBC 5 reported the same time and the same block, and that officers arrived within minutes and detained an adult woman. FOX 4 reported the call came around 4:30 a.m. and that officers detained Flores minutes later. The 10-minute difference is how the stations clocked the dispatch. All three reported the stop was at that house on Tuesday morning. CBS Texas reported Flores was also injured, was checked at a hospital, and is now in the Denton County Jail. NBC 5 reported she was taken to a Denton hospital, treated and released, and then booked. FOX 4 reported she was treated for minor injuries and then booked into the same jail.
CBS Texas reported officers found two children in the house, a 3-year-old girl and a 10-month-old boy, both with stab wounds to the chest, and that the man had head injuries. NBC 5 reported the man is 34 and was stabbed in the head, and that both children had stab wounds to the chest. FOX 4 reported the husband was treated for a non-life-threatening stab wound to the head. None of the three outlets published the husband's name or the children's names. A name police have not given is not a name to supply. At a news conference Tuesday morning, Chief Robert Crawford told FOX 4, "I don't believe they're life-threatening. They're still in hospital for observation, but I believe they are going to be okay." CBS Texas reported he said the children's injuries did not appear to be life-threatening and that both were in stable condition. Those are the chief's descriptions of hospital status on Tuesday morning. They are not a medical examiner's finding, and they are not a verdict.
CBS Texas and NBC 5 reported Flores faces two counts of attempted capital murder and one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. FOX 4 reported the charges as preliminary and listed attempted capital murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. A preliminary charge is what the department says it is booking. It is not a grand-jury indictment, and it is not a conviction. FOX 4 reported Crawford said officers had been to the home five times since March for welfare concerns and that he would not describe those calls while the investigation is open. He also said Flores did not say much to the officers who arrested her, and that a motive is still unknown. Prior welfare calls the chief would not detail are background on the response. They are not new counts. The investigation is ongoing. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Tuscaloosa police charged Daronte Collins with felony murder after a Saturday apartment-complex shooting.
WBRC's jail photo is captioned Daronte Collins and puts both men at 22. The Tuscaloosa Thread, citing Violent Crimes Unit Lt. Michael Hall, spells the charged man Deronte and puts both at 20. Patch and the Calhoun Journal also use Daronte and 20. A felony-murder count, which the Thread and the Journal describe as Alabama's rule when someone dies during a robbery, is not a finding that Collins fired the shot that killed Tyson. The Thread says the 25-year-old has not been charged.

High Point police charged Kymberli Bowden with first-degree murder in her 13-year-old daughter's death.
The Oct. 8 release is a new murder count on a case the department charged in 2025 as felony child abuse and concealment of death. It is not a trial. The murder-charge release says she remains in jail with no bond. WXII reported a violent-offense hold and a $1 million bond on the older counts. The 2025 release listed her age as 44. The murder-charge release, WXII, and FOX 35 Orlando list 45.

Chicago police charged Chevazz Campbell in the stabbing death of CTA janitor Julian Mobley.
A detention hearing is the first court date. It is not a finding that Campbell stabbed anyone. The department's Sunday release says he robbed and fatally stabbed a 41-year-old man in the 2000 block of West Lake Street. ABC7 and CBS Chicago name that man as Julian Mobley and describe a fare dispute that turned into a stabbing. The department's charge list and CBS Chicago's shorter summary do not match count for count.
