Jack Doherty's police report says his girlfriend held a gun during the fight that led to his domestic battery arrest.

A police report is one side's paperwork from one afternoon. It is not a verdict. TMZ's copy has both accounts: the woman told officers Doherty threatened to beat her and that she hit and scratched him in self-defense; Doherty told officers she hit him, and the report says his footage showed her striking and pushing away from him. Officers noted an injury on his face and still took him to jail. The misdemeanor charge is an accusation, and the case has to be proven in court.

TMZ reported on Monday, Oct. 5, 2026, that it obtained the Fort Lauderdale Police Department report on influencer Jack Doherty's September arrest. NBC 6 South Florida and Local 10 reported that Doherty, 22, was arrested Friday, Sept. 4, 2026, after officers responded around 11:56 a.m. to a domestic dispute in the 1400 block of Southwest Fifth Court, and that he was booked into the Broward County Jail on a domestic battery charge. Police said at the time that Doherty and a woman got into a physical dispute inside a home and that she was not injured.

According to the report as described by TMZ, the woman told officers she had lived with Doherty for six months and told him she planned to end the relationship, which set off the fight. She said Doherty told her he would "beat her ass" and could because he was bigger than her. She told police she went upstairs, picked up a firearm from a table, held it at her side, told him to leave her alone, and said she would shoot him if he came near her because she was afraid. She told officers she hit and scratched Doherty, but in self-defense. TMZ previously reported that the probable-cause affidavit alleged Doherty pushed her down and briefly held her by the neck, and that she said she could still breathe.

Doherty gave officers a different account, TMZ reported. He said his girlfriend was the one who hit him, and that he never put his hands on her. The report says he was hesitant but showed police his home security footage, which officers wrote showed the verbal argument and the woman using her arm to strike and push away from Doherty to create distance. Officers noted a visible injury on his face. He was nevertheless placed in custody and taken to jail, according to the report. Crime Talk Network is not naming the woman.

Doherty, who has nearly 15 million subscribers and is known for prank and stunt videos, has had other run-ins with South Florida police, NBC 6 reported, including a Nov. 15, 2025 Miami Beach arrest while filming in the roadway on Washington Avenue. The domestic battery count is a misdemeanor accusation, and police reports often contain conflicting statements that get tested later in court. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
