An armed-robbery arrest with no bond is an accusation. It is not a conviction. Byram police say a marketplace deal escalated and a firearm was discharged. Who fired, and whether anyone was hit, was not in the department's public account.

WLBT reported that the Byram Police Department identified Sims as the suspect in a robbery that investigators say began as an apparent fraudulent transaction arranged through Facebook Marketplace, then became an armed robbery. A firearm was discharged, police said. WJTV reported the arrest date as Oct. 9 and placed the incident at the QuikTrip. He was charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and wire fraud.

WLBT reported that investigators took him into custody Friday and took him to the Raymond Detention Center, where he is being held without bond pending an initial appearance. The department said the investigation is ongoing. A hold without bond is a custody decision. It does not establish who arranged the listing or what the wire-fraud count is built on.

All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Amarillo police booked Allen Plumlee on aggravated kidnapping and a third-or-more DWI after a Sunday night crash.

An aggravated-kidnapping booking is an accusation. It is not a conviction. The arrest report says a woman told officers she drove because she feared for her life. That statement is the state's account of the ride. It has not been tested in court.

A Bettendorf credit union employee is charged with taking $28,326.28 from customer accounts, most of them belonging to people who had died.

A theft filing built from account records is an accusation. It is not a finding that every dollar in the complaint moved the way police describe. KWQC reported that one account lost $21,279.51 and that the total across seven accounts was $28,326.28, six of them belonging to people who had died. Those figures are what the charging papers claim.
