A public-intoxication booking is an accusation and a process, not a conviction. Early Sunday, Sept. 20, 2026, Scott County deputies arrested him after a caller reported a white Ford Mustang stopped in an intersection in Georgetown just before 3 a.m., and he was later found intoxicated and asleep in that Mustang in a Walmart parking lot. A fifth set of criminal charges since the jackpot is biography, not proof of this count.

Reporting dated Sept. 21, citing a Scott County Sheriff's Office citation, said deputies had to knock repeatedly to wake him. The citation, as reported, said he smelled of alcohol and marijuana, had bloodshot and watery eyes, slurred his speech, and had difficulty maintaining balance. He told deputies a woman drove him there and left him. Surveillance, as reported, showed no one exiting after the Mustang pulled in. His account and the surveillance note are competing accounts in a citation. They are not a finding that he was intoxicated, and they are not a finding about who drove. He was booked into the Scott County Detention Center on an alcohol-intoxication charge. Arraignment on a public-intoxication charge was reported for Tuesday, Sept. 22. A booking and a reported arraignment date are how the file starts. They are not a guilty plea.

The prize is background. The ticket was bought April 26, 2025, at Clark's Pump N Shop in Georgetown, and the win was split with his mother, Linda Grizzle. It was reported as the state's largest Powerball prize. Prior contacts with police, kept here to the charging captions only, are a late July domestic-violence case alleging he strangled a woman after a boating trip, a November hit-and-run involving a Corvette in Lexington, a February charge of intimidating a participant in the legal process, and an April 2025 battery charge involving a Florida deputy days after the win. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
