A murder booking and a $1 million bond are the start of the file. They do not decide who fired. ABC30 Fresno reported that Police Chief Mindy Casto described one shot after an argument on a Tower District corner, and that Listman was already out on bond in an April stabbing. The gun from Sept. 26 has not been recovered. Casto's timeline is the police account from Monday's news conference.
ABC30 Fresno and FOX26 reported that Jeremiah Listman, 19, was arrested Monday, Oct. 5, 2026, and booked into the Fresno County Jail on a murder charge in the shooting death of Tyrone Miles, 28. ABC30 reported the bond is $1 million. FOX26 reported that homicide detectives identified Listman as the suspect and that the department's SWAT team arrested him Monday. The Fresno Bee reported the same warrant service. A murder charge names a defendant. It does not decide the case.
ABC30, citing Chief Mindy Casto, reported the shooting was about 2:46 a.m. on Sept. 26 at Olive and Linden avenues in the Tower District. FOX26 reported officers went to a ShotSpotter alert there at about 2:45 a.m. and found Miles with a gunshot wound. He was taken to Community Regional Medical Center and later pronounced dead. Casto said Listman and friends had arrived around midnight, that none of them was 21, and that they were on the street when they ran into Miles and his friends. She said the groups exchanged words, that Listman yelled a gang affiliation, turned as if to walk away, then turned back and fired one shot. Officers already nearby on a separate disturbance ran toward the shot. ABC30 reported security video shows an officer in the frame about 20 seconds later. Casto said Miles was not an active gang member and that there is no evidence he and Listman knew each other before that night. That is the chief's account. A jury has not heard it.
ABC30 reported detectives identified Listman from video at Tower District businesses, police cameras, and license-plate readers, including Flock cameras. The gun has not been found. Casto said investigators have not decided whether to add charges or whether anyone who was with Listman will be charged. She said he was already known to police as one of the suspects in an April 2 stabbing on the Fulton Mall and was out on bond in that case. "It's not that he was early released or not charged," Casto said. "It's just that he was able to make bond as he has the right to do." On the arrest, ABC30 reported SWAT served search and arrest warrants at a home near Fruit and Olive. Listman did not come to the door. Officers breached it, used a flash-bang, found him inside, and took him into custody without further resistance. The Fresno Bee reported that sequence from the same briefing. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Tuscaloosa police charged Daronte Collins with felony murder after a Saturday apartment-complex shooting.
WBRC's jail photo is captioned Daronte Collins and puts both men at 22. The Tuscaloosa Thread, citing Violent Crimes Unit Lt. Michael Hall, spells the charged man Deronte and puts both at 20. Patch and the Calhoun Journal also use Daronte and 20. A felony-murder count, which the Thread and the Journal describe as Alabama's rule when someone dies during a robbery, is not a finding that Collins fired the shot that killed Tyson. The Thread says the 25-year-old has not been charged.

High Point police charged Kymberli Bowden with first-degree murder in her 13-year-old daughter's death.
The Oct. 8 release is a new murder count on a case the department charged in 2025 as felony child abuse and concealment of death. It is not a trial. The murder-charge release says she remains in jail with no bond. WXII reported a violent-offense hold and a $1 million bond on the older counts. The 2025 release listed her age as 44. The murder-charge release, WXII, and FOX 35 Orlando list 45.

Chicago police charged Chevazz Campbell in the stabbing death of CTA janitor Julian Mobley.
A detention hearing is the first court date. It is not a finding that Campbell stabbed anyone. The department's Sunday release says he robbed and fatally stabbed a 41-year-old man in the 2000 block of West Lake Street. ABC7 and CBS Chicago name that man as Julian Mobley and describe a fare dispute that turned into a stabbing. The department's charge list and CBS Chicago's shorter summary do not match count for count.
