CBS Sacramento reported Joaquin Cruz was sentenced to three consecutive life terms without parole, plus 75 years to life.

CBS Sacramento reported November 3, 2026, at 2:33 p.m. PST, that Joaquin Cruz was sentenced to three consecutive life terms without the possibility of parole, plus 75 years to life, in the March 22, 2019, Stockton shooting that killed David Connary, 19, Tiffany Connary, 18, and Remilio Castillo, 18. The San Joaquin County District Attorney's Office said in November 2025 that sentencing was scheduled for January 26, 2026, and that release did not print the 75-years-to-life term.

Three consecutive terms without parole, plus 75 years to life, are what CBS Sacramento reported on November 3. The district attorney's November 2025 release scheduled sentencing for January 26, 2026, and it did not print those consecutive terms. Neither page names the judge, and neither page names the accomplice prosecutors described.

CBS Sacramento, in a story by Cecilio Padilla published November 3, 2026, at 2:33 p.m. PST, reported that a man convicted of killing three people in a 2019 Stockton shooting has been sentenced to three consecutive life terms without the possibility of parole, plus 75 years to life. The story names him as Joaquin Cruz and says he was convicted in November 2025 of first-degree murder in the deaths of 19-year-old David Connary, 18-year-old Tiffany Connary, and 18-year-old Remilio Castillo. It reported the three were shot March 22, 2019, while sitting in a parked vehicle near F Street and Finland Avenue, and that David and Tiffany Connary were siblings. The page does not print the word Tuesday. It does not print a courtroom clock. It does not name the judge.

CBS Sacramento reported prosecutors said the shooting stemmed from a gang feud, and that Cruz and an accomplice opened fire on the vehicle after Cruz located Castillo near his home. It reported investigators said David and Tiffany Connary were not involved in gang activity. It reported Cruz was arrested in Klamath, Oregon, about two months after the killings and returned to San Joaquin County to face charges. It quoted District Attorney Ron Freitas: "Justice was fully delivered," and, "Three consecutive life terms without parole means he will spend the rest of his life behind bars, with zero chance of ever stepping foot in our community again." The page does not name the accomplice.

The same CBS Sacramento story says a jury later found Cruz guilty of three counts of first-degree murder and found firearm, gang, and special circumstance allegations true. Convicted in November 2025 of first-degree murder, and a jury later finding three counts, are both on that page. The San Joaquin County District Attorney's Office, in a release dated November 25, 2025, said that on November 24, 2025, a jury found him guilty of three counts of first-degree murder for the March 22, 2019, killings. November, on CBS Sacramento, and November 24, on the release, are not the same specificity. The release said he faces life without the possibility of parole and that sentencing was scheduled for January 26, 2026. It does not print 75 years to life. It does not print three consecutive terms. CBS Sacramento's November 3, 2026, story reports those terms and does not print January 26.

The release said the jury found true firearm and gang enhancements and special circumstance allegations: murder committed by a criminal street gang member, Penal Code 190.2(a)(22); murder committed by firing from a vehicle with intent to kill, Penal Code 190.2(a)(21); and the multiple-murder special circumstance, Penal Code 190.2(a)(3). CBS Sacramento says special circumstance allegations were found true and does not print those sections. The release said Norteno gangs Varrio Latino Locos and Garden Block Gangsters were in a feud with East Oak from 2017 through 2019, and that Castillo, then a known East Oak member, had posted two Instagram comments responding to posts by Cruz. CBS Sacramento says a gang feud and does not print those names or the Instagram comments. The release said David Connary, 19, was killed by a single gunshot wound to the head, that Castillo, 18, was killed by gunshots to the neck and torso, and that Tiffany Connary, 18, was struck 15 times, including seven fatal wounds to the head. CBS Sacramento does not print those wound counts. Both say David and Tiffany Connary were not involved in gang activity. Both say an accomplice opened fire and neither names that person. The release quoted Freitas on the verdict, including "These young lives were stolen in a senseless act of gang violence." That is not the sentencing quotation CBS Sacramento printed on November 3. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The Middle District of Georgia release says Judge Self sentenced Josue Serda to life in prison. FOX 5 Atlanta and WSB-TV say life without parole.

Life in prison, and life without parole, and there is no parole in the federal system, are not the same sentence. More than 50 kilograms of methamphetamine, and 50 kilograms, are not the same quantity. Three investigations, and one ring that seized more than 200 kilograms, are not the same case. A charge against Raul Perez-Mondragon is an allegation.

Roland Chatmon and three others pleaded guilty in the kidnapping of his uncle, Curtis Dixon.

A guilty plea is the conviction on the counts a defendant admits. It is not the prison term. FOX 2 and the New York Post say the four kidnapping defendants face a mandatory minimum of seven years and a maximum of life, with hearings in 2027. WXYZ reported that all five, including Kenneth Anderson, face that range. FOX 2, CBS Detroit, and the Post say Anderson was already sentenced to probation.

An Ottawa jury found Fsha Tekhle guilty of first-degree murder in the stabbing of Brkti Berhe.

A first-degree murder verdict is the jury's finding on that count. CBC wrote that the conviction comes with automatic life sentences, plural, and no eligibility for parole for 25 years. The Ottawa Citizen described an automatic sentence of life without parole for 25 years. No eligibility for parole for 25 years, and life without parole for 25 years, are not the same words. Tekhle admitted causing the death and pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder.
