An arrest and a jail booking are accusations. They are not convictions. Dublin police booked the pair after Jonathan McKinsey, 40, was found with multiple gunshot wounds in a Dublin Sports Grounds parking lot on Saturday and pronounced dead at the scene. Police have not publicly revealed a motive, and the investigation is ongoing.

On Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026, around 3:08 p.m., Jonathan McKinsey, 40, was found with multiple gunshot wounds in the parking lot of Dublin Sports Grounds at 6700 Dublin Blvd in Dublin, California. He was pronounced dead at the scene. A Dublin police sergeant driving nearby saw a man on the ground as 911 calls came in. Witnesses reported two masked assailants who took turns shooting. The suspects remained nearby and were detained within minutes with witness help. A death at the scene and a detention are what police and witnesses reported. They are not a conviction.

Shouyong Zhang, 77, and Shili Chen, 77, both Dublin residents, were arrested and booked into Santa Rita Jail. Inmate-locator reporting put Chen's booking at about 5:06 a.m. Sunday and Zhang's at about 7:49 a.m. Sunday. Jail and police listings include suspicion of murder, conspiracy, and willful discharge of a firearm with gross negligence. Records also list a child-abuse booking label that has not been explained publicly. They are held without bail. An arraignment was reported for about 9 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2026, at the Dublin courthouse. Those listings are accusations. Zhang and Chen are presumed innocent.

The New York Times confirmed that McKinsey was head of engineering for games player experience and that he had worked for the Times since about 2023. He was also described as a Dublin resident. New York Post reporting identified Zhang and Chen as his father-in-law and mother-in-law through their daughter, Candice Jang, to whom he was married. Dublin Police Services Capt. Miguel Campos said the investigation is active and ongoing. Police have not publicly revealed a motive. Relationship context and an open investigation are not a finding of guilt.

Tuscaloosa police charged Daronte Collins with felony murder after a Saturday apartment-complex shooting.

WBRC's jail photo is captioned Daronte Collins and puts both men at 22. The Tuscaloosa Thread, citing Violent Crimes Unit Lt. Michael Hall, spells the charged man Deronte and puts both at 20. Patch and the Calhoun Journal also use Daronte and 20. A felony-murder count, which the Thread and the Journal describe as Alabama's rule when someone dies during a robbery, is not a finding that Collins fired the shot that killed Tyson. The Thread says the 25-year-old has not been charged.

High Point police charged Kymberli Bowden with first-degree murder in her 13-year-old daughter's death.

The Oct. 8 release is a new murder count on a case the department charged in 2025 as felony child abuse and concealment of death. It is not a trial. The murder-charge release says she remains in jail with no bond. WXII reported a violent-offense hold and a $1 million bond on the older counts. The 2025 release listed her age as 44. The murder-charge release, WXII, and FOX 35 Orlando list 45.

Chicago police charged Chevazz Campbell in the stabbing death of CTA janitor Julian Mobley.

A detention hearing is the first court date. It is not a finding that Campbell stabbed anyone. The department's Sunday release says he robbed and fatally stabbed a 41-year-old man in the 2000 block of West Lake Street. ABC7 and CBS Chicago name that man as Julian Mobley and describe a fare dispute that turned into a stabbing. The department's charge list and CBS Chicago's shorter summary do not match count for count.
