Thames Valley Police charged Joshua Clarke with murder in the Datchet crash that killed Daniel Shipton.

The force said Clarke was re-arrested Oct. 21, 2026, on one count of murder after a July 16, 2025 crash on Riding Court Road that killed Shipton, 31. An Oct. 22 update on that release lists Clarke as 40, of Gladstone Road, Sparkbrook, Birmingham. BBC, reporting Oct. 21, called him 39 and said he had appeared at Reading Magistrates' Court.

The murder count is the charge. The age on the public record moved a day later. Thames Valley Police amended it to 40 on Oct. 22. BBC's story the day of the charge called him 39. BBC reported he had already been before magistrates and was due at Reading Crown Court on Thursday. This account does not have a report of what that Thursday listing produced. A murder charge is the accusation.

Thames Valley Police said Joshua Clarke was re-arrested on Oct. 21, 2026, and charged with one count of murder in the death of Daniel Shipton, 31. The force said the charge follows a crash between a blue Mini and a motorcycle on Riding Court Road in Datchet at about 4:30 p.m. on July 16, 2025. The release, first published that Wednesday, said he was remanded in custody and was due at Reading Magistrates' Court that day. An update posted on the same release on Oct. 22 says his address and age were amended. The amended line lists him as 40, of Gladstone Road, Sparkbrook, Birmingham. The force also said nothing should be published that could imply guilt. A murder charge is what that release says he faces.

BBC reported Oct. 21 that Clarke, 39, from Birmingham, appeared at Reading Magistrates' Court charged with murder and was due at Reading Crown Court on Thursday. The BBC story says Shipton, 31, died after a crash involving his motorbike and a blue Mini on Riding Court Road in Datchet, Berkshire, on July 16, 2025. It does not print the 4:30 p.m. time. It does not print Gladstone Road or Sparkbrook. The police release prints the time, the street address, and, after the Oct. 22 amendment, the age 40. BBC's age, published the day before that amendment, is 39. The two accounts agree on the charge, the victim's name and age, the road, the date, and the two vehicles.

What the police page still says about the magistrates' date is the Wednesday wording. It says he was due at Reading Magistrates' Court "today," on a release dated Oct. 21 and updated Oct. 22 only for address and age. BBC reported he appeared there. The crown court date is in the BBC story and is not in the police release. Thursday's listing is what BBC said was next. No account used here reports a plea, a remand decision at the crown court, or whether that hearing was held. The count police announced is murder. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Pemberton Mayor Matthew Bianchini lunged at a resident, and the resident asked a court for charges.

A complaint a resident files is a request that charges be brought. It is not a charge police or a prosecutor have announced. WPVI and Fox News reported the department has not said whether it will file the counts Sawka listed. Bianchini told WPVI the lunge was wrong and that he would do it again if he had to. Those are his words after the meeting. They are not a plea, and they are not a finding that a crime occurred.

Nikki Floris and Bradley Benavides were charged with lying to Congress about FBI Hunter Biden inquiries.

Friday is a complaint and a first appearance. It is not a grand jury indictment, and it is not a finding that either person lied. CBS News reported Faruqui called that charging method strange for testimony from 2023 and put the next hearing at 11 a.m. Tuesday. NPR reported the same Tuesday return without the hour. That hearing is about probable cause. It is not a trial.

The North Carolina SBI said Lorenzo Dumas is charged with murder after Wanda Dumas was found dead in Candor.

Thursday is the charge. Tuesday is the standoff. ABC45 names her Wanda Elaine Dumas. The Sentinel, citing the SBI release, names her Wanda Dumas. ABC45 says the Highway Patrol assisted. The thank-you the Sentinel quoted from that release names the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, the Moore County Sheriff's Office, and Alcohol Law Enforcement, and does not name the Highway Patrol. Neither story reported a plea or a court date. Additional charges, both said, may still be filed.
