Five counts, and three counts plus three counts, are what the department says it charged. A confession in a police account is not a plea and is not a conviction. E. Levi Road, East Levi Road, and Levi Road are not the same street line on the three pages. The four tire shops are not named.

The Memphis Police Department, in a release dated November 3, 2026, and numbered 2610026951ME, said an investigation into illegal tire dumping along E. Levi Road led to two arrests and uncovered two additional dumping sites containing thousands of used tires. It said that on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, the department's Real Time Crime Center and the City of Memphis Environmental Enforcement reviewed camera footage from the 300 block of E. Levi Road. It said the footage showed two males and one female using a U-Haul box truck to dump approximately 150 tires at that location on September 28 and October 1, 2026, and that the center shared its findings with the Raines Station General Investigation Bureau, which launched an investigation. It said that on Thursday, October 22, the center alerted the Raines Station Task Force that the suspect U-Haul was in the area of Bellevue Boulevard and Lamar Avenue, and that officers located the vehicle in the 1200 block of S. Bellevue Boulevard and detained the driver, Joshua Gholson, 26, and the passenger, Danielle McGhee, 25, without incident. It said that during questioning by Raines Station GIB investigators, both confessed to dumping tires along E. Levi Road, and that investigators learned Gholson was allegedly being paid by four local tire shops to dispose of their used tires. It said that information led investigators to two additional locations near Tully Street and Holmes Road, and Millbranch Road and Lochern Drive, and that both locations contained thousands of used tires. The release lists McGhee on three counts of felony aggravated criminal littering and three counts of felony vandalism ($2,500–$10,000), and Gholson on five counts of felony aggravated criminal littering.

Action News 5, by Shayna Norwood, published November 3, 2026, at 1:45 p.m. CST, reported the same two names, the same ages, and the same counts. It reported surveillance footage captured three people using a U-Haul box truck to dump approximately 150 tires in the 300 block of East Levi Road on Sept. 28 and Oct. 1. Three people, on that page, and two males and one female, in the release, are the same number of people. East Levi Road, and E. Levi Road, are not the same street line. Action News 5 does not print October 20, the Real Time Crime Center, Environmental Enforcement, or the Raines Station bureau. It reported officers spotted the truck on Oct. 22 near South Bellevue Boulevard and Lamar Avenue and arrested the driver and the passenger. Spotted near South Bellevue, and located in the 1200 block of S. Bellevue, are not the same place. Arresting, and detained without incident, are not the same verb. Action News 5 reported investigators say both confessed to dumping the tires on East Levi Road, and that Gholson allegedly told police he was paid by four local tire shops to dispose of their used inventory. Allegedly told police he was paid, and investigators learned that he was allegedly being paid, are not the same sentence. Action News 5 reported that admission led detectives to two additional dumping grounds containing thousands of tires, near Tully Street and Holmes Road and near Millbranch Road and Lochern Drive. Grounds containing thousands, and both locations contained thousands, are not the same count of tires at each site.

WREG, by David Royer, published November 3, 2026. The story text does not print a clock. The page's published timestamp is 2026-11-03T20:10:34+00:00, which is 2:10 p.m. CST. 1:45 p.m. CST, on Action News 5, and 2:10 p.m. CST, on that timestamp, are not the same clock. WREG reported two people were arrested and charged with illegally dumping thousands of used tires at several sites, and that Memphis Police said that on Tuesday. Thousands at several sites, in that lede, and approximately 150 at E. Levi with thousands at the two later sites, in the release, are not the same volume. WREG reported the investigation began Oct. 20, when MPD and the City of Memphis Environmental Enforcement division reviewed camera footage from the 300 block of Levi Road showing two men and a woman using a U-Haul truck to dump about 150 tires over two days. Levi Road, and E. Levi Road, are not the same street line. A U-Haul truck, and a U-Haul box truck, are not the same vehicle description. Over two days, and September 28 and October 1, are not the same dates. WREG does not print the Real Time Crime Center on the Oct. 20 review. It reported that two days later the center notified police the truck was near Bellevue Boulevard and Lamar Avenue, and that officers stopped the truck and detained Gholson and McGhee without incident. Stopped, and located in the 1200 block, are not the same stop. WREG reported they allegedly confessed to dumping the tires on Levi, and that investigators found he was allegedly being paid by four local tire shops. Allegedly confessed, and confessed, in the release, are not the same word. WREG's charge line capitalizes Five. WREG's photograph caption spells her Daniell. The charge line on that page, the release, and Action News 5 spell her Danielle. WREG reported both later locations contained thousands of used tires, that the investigation is ongoing, and that police are working to identify a third suspect. The release says detectives are working to identify the third suspect and to determine the involvement of the businesses connected to the alleged illegal dumping. Action News 5 says detectives are still working to identify a third person seen on surveillance footage and to determine whether the tire shops were involved. A third suspect, and a third person seen on surveillance footage, are not the same identification. None of the three pages names that person. None names a tire shop. Action News 5 and the release ask anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 901-528-CASH. WREG does not print that number. The counts are charges. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

WJLA says Judge Neal Kravitz found Jaime Macedo guilty of voluntary manslaughter while armed. NBC4 says he pleaded guilty to manslaughter.
