Virgin Islands police charged Kaden Durand with first-degree murder in the June shooting of Asani Henry.

The Virgin Islands Police Department said Kaden Durand, 21, was arrested Oct. 2, 2026, on St. Croix in the June 16 killing of 23-year-old Asani Henry in Hospital Ground on St. Thomas. Jah'Sheem Graham, 23, was arrested in Florida and brought back to St. Thomas on Oct. 10. St. John Source reported bail was set at $1 million each. Both face first-degree murder and related felonies.

A first-degree murder arrest on a warrant is an accusation. It is not a conviction. VIPD says officers found Henry with multiple gunshot wounds after a 911 call about shots in Hospital Ground. An affidavit's description of a video is the state's theory of who pulled him from a car. A magistrate has not turned that affidavit into a finding.

VIPD said a caller reported gunshots in Hospital Ground at about 3:40 p.m. on June 16, 2026. Officers found an unresponsive man with multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency medical technicians found no vital signs. Next of kin identified him as Asani Henry, 23. The department said U.S. Marshals arrested Graham, 23, in Orlando on Sept. 28, and that he was returned to St. Thomas on Oct. 10. Durand was served with a warrant on St. Croix on Oct. 2 by the Criminal Investigation Bureau. St. John Source reported both men are held on $1 million bail.

VIPD said both are charged with first-degree murder, first-degree robbery, first-degree assault, possession of a firearm during a crime of violence, possession of an unlicensed firearm within 1,000 feet of public housing, a school, or a youth center, possession of ammunition, brandishing a deadly weapon, petit larceny, first-degree reckless endangerment, and conspiracy. The Virgin Islands Free Press, citing a VIPD affidavit, reported that Henry arrived at the Bethlehem Shelter parking lot in a silver Acura, that Graham approached the driver's window, and that Durand then dragged Henry from the car and fired at close range. St. Thomas Source reported that surveillance placed the two men together and that Durand had flown from St. Croix to St. Thomas three days earlier. Those details are what the affidavit alleges.

An arraignment for Durand was reported for Oct. 23. A $1 million bail order is a custody condition. It is not a verdict on the video or on who fired. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Amarillo police booked Allen Plumlee on aggravated kidnapping and a third-or-more DWI after a Sunday night crash.

An aggravated-kidnapping booking is an accusation. It is not a conviction. The arrest report says a woman told officers she drove because she feared for her life. That statement is the state's account of the ride. It has not been tested in court.

A Bettendorf credit union employee is charged with taking $28,326.28 from customer accounts, most of them belonging to people who had died.

A theft filing built from account records is an accusation. It is not a finding that every dollar in the complaint moved the way police describe. KWQC reported that one account lost $21,279.51 and that the total across seven accounts was $28,326.28, six of them belonging to people who had died. Those figures are what the charging papers claim.

Arnaudville police arrested St. Martin Parish Republican official Chad Hardy on a theft charge.

A theft arrest of an elected party official is an accusation. It is not a conviction, and it is not a finding about how long the charges ran. Police have not said, in the accounts used here, how much money is at issue. The parish party's statement said it would wait on the court.
