Jerome Charles Eursher was arraigned in the Sterling Heights shooting of Randy Abro after police had said he was still wanted.

C & G Newspapers and WXYZ reported Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2026, that Eursher, 31, of Solon, Ohio, was arraigned on a murder charge in the Oct. 7 death of Randy K. Abro and is held on a $4 million bond. Those accounts do not agree on the day he surrendered or on whether he has a lawyer. Kenneth Hollins Morgan, arraigned Monday, remains held on $2 million.

C & G Newspapers says Eursher turned himself in Tuesday at the Sterling Heights Police Department and that no lawyer was listed for him Wednesday afternoon. WXYZ says he turned himself in, was arraigned Wednesday, and quotes attorney Tameka Tucker. ClickOnDetroit had said, before Wednesday, that police still wanted him. C & G Newspapers now lists Morgan as living in Warren. ClickOnDetroit listed Detroit.

Kenneth Hollins Morgan, 41, of Detroit, was arraigned Monday, Oct. 19, 2026, in 41-A District Court in Sterling Heights on felony murder and firearms charges in the shooting death of Randy K. Abro, ClickOnDetroit reported, citing Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido. C & G Newspapers reported the arraignment was before Magistrate Jean Cloud. Prosecutors allege Morgan shot and killed Abro, 41, of Utica, on Oct. 7 at a warehouse and business plaza at 6243 Millett Avenue. Officers answering a 911 call about possible gunshots in the 6200 block found Abro with gunshot wounds and he was pronounced dead at the scene, ClickOnDetroit reported. Police have not released a motive or any further account of the shooting.

The Sterling Heights Police Department's Special Response Team took Morgan into custody without incident early Oct. 16 in Warren, with help from the Warren Police Department's SWAT team, the FBI's Macomb County Gang and Violent Crimes Task Force, and the prosecutor's office, ClickOnDetroit reported. He is charged with felony murder, two counts of felony firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, and a fourth-offense habitual-offender notice. ClickOnDetroit reported the felony murder count carries a possible sentence of life in prison without parole, the felony-firearm counts carry mandatory consecutive terms of two years, and the other weapons counts carry up to five years. The prosecutor's office said those are the maximum charges the evidence presented so far supports. Bond was set at $2 million cash or surety, and he was remanded. A probable-cause conference is set for 1 p.m. Nov. 2 in 41-A District Court, ClickOnDetroit reported. C & G Newspapers described the homicide count as murder, not felony murder.

The name on the case was not stable in the first public accounts. ClickOnDetroit reported that police initially said Jerome Charles Eursher had been arrested, then issued an update that he was wanted and that Morgan had been arrested instead. New Media Detroit reported that an earlier version of its own story named Eursher, 31, of Solon, Ohio, as the man charged, and that the identification came from a Macomb County Prosecutor's Office release the office later replaced with one naming Morgan. Before Wednesday, Sterling Heights police told ClickOnDetroit that Eursher, born March 19, 1995, was still wanted, should be considered armed and dangerous, and should not be approached. The station said he is about 6 feet tall and about 200 pounds, with ties to Cleveland and Detroit. Detectives said license-plate readers helped the investigation and were not the only tool used to identify the suspects or get the warrants.

That wanted notice is not where the case stood on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2026. C & G Newspapers reported Eursher was arraigned that day in 41-A District Court before Magistrate Jean Cloud on a murder charge, which the paper said is punishable by life in prison without parole, and on felony gun charges punishable by up to five years. The paper, citing a Macomb County Prosecutor's Office release, said he is held on a $4 million cash/surety bond and that he turned himself in at the Sterling Heights Police Department on Tuesday, Oct. 20. WXYZ reported he turned himself in and was arraigned Wednesday, and did not separate those two days. WXYZ quoted a judge, whom the station did not name, saying it was a grave safety concern that he came from Ohio, and reported that if he is released he must wear a GPS tether. WWJ Newsradio reported the same $4 million cash/surety bond and described the condition as a steel-cuff GPS tether if he is released. WWJ listed three counts: felony murder, felony firearm, and carrying a concealed weapon. C & G Newspapers called the homicide count a murder charge. WXYZ called it felony murder. WXYZ quoted defense attorney Tameka Tucker saying he has no criminal history, has a wife and children in Ohio, and is serious about the allegations. C & G Newspapers reported that as of Wednesday afternoon no attorney was listed for him in online court records. Those two accounts do not agree on whether he has a lawyer.

C & G Newspapers now describes both men at the scene. It reported that on the afternoon of Oct. 7, Eursher and Morgan allegedly went to a warehouse and business plaza near Mound Road and 15 Mile Road and shot Abro, who was found dead after a report of gunshots. ClickOnDetroit's earlier account alleged that Morgan shot and killed him, and did not describe a second shooter. C & G Newspapers also lists Morgan as 41, of Warren, arrested Oct. 16 and arraigned Oct. 19, held on a $2 million cash or surety bond, and charged with felony murder and related weapons charges. ClickOnDetroit had listed him as of Detroit and had called the homicide count felony murder. An earlier C & G account had called Morgan's count murder rather than felony murder. The paper's Wednesday story uses felony murder for him. C & G Newspapers reported each man is set for a probable-cause conference on Nov. 2 before Judge Kimberley Wiegand. WXYZ reported the same return date and did not name the judge. ClickOnDetroit had put Morgan's conference at 1 p.m. that day. Sterling Heights police said in a release, as C & G Newspapers quoted it, that automated license-plate readers played a supporting role and that no single tool identified the suspects or produced the warrants. Prosecutor Peter Lucido said in a prepared statement carried by C & G Newspapers that the shooting was tragic for Abro's family and friends and for the community, and that "Gun violence has no place in our community, and those responsible for taking a life must face the consequences under the law." The paper reported Abro is survived by a wife and two children. They are not named here. WXYZ quoted his brother, Raymond Abro, on the loss. Wednesday's arraignment is the first court date on Eursher's charges. It is not a plea, and the bond is a custody decision. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Sheriff's officials named Edward Villa as the suspect after Katie Kinder, her son and her mother were found shot to death in Happy Valley.

Thursday's briefing names the three people and names Villa as the only suspect. The warrant was three counts of first-degree murder. He was found dead before an arrest. KPTV, citing Warrenton police, called it an apparent self-inflicted gunshot. KGW reported Detective Matt Lysaght would not go past a gunshot deputies heard, a firearm in the room, and the fact that no officer fired. KPTV and OPB call the motel the South Jetty Inn. The Oregonian calls it the South Jetty Motel.

An Oahu grand jury indicted Orion Satori on a second-degree murder charge in the Young Street stabbing of Kiril Stoimenov.

An indictment means a grand jury found enough to send the case forward. It is not a finding of guilt. Police have said Satori did the stabbing, according to Hawaii News Now. The next step is arraignment, where he will be asked to enter a plea. Second-degree murder in Hawaii carries a maximum of life with the possibility of parole, the station reported.
