A Macomb County judge revoked Kim Mathers' bond and ordered her held until Oct. 14.

WDIV and Patch reported Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2026, that 42-2 District Court Judge William Hackel III revoked bond for Kim Mathers, 51, of Chesterfield, in three drunken-driving cases and remanded her to the Macomb County Jail. He said she left court-ordered inpatient treatment without authority. Her lawyer said a magistrate had changed the conditions. She is due back Oct. 14.

A bond revocation puts someone in jail. It does not decide a drunken-driving case. Judge William Hackel III said a magistrate had no power to undo his order that Kim Mathers stay in inpatient treatment, and that she left anyway. Her lawyer, Camilla Barkovic, said the magistrate had modified the release after the defense could not get back in front of him. The hearing turned on who was allowed to change the rules. The drunken-driving charges are still unresolved. The next date is a probable-cause conference.

WDIV reported Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2026, that 42-2 District Court Judge William Hackel III revoked bond for Kim Mathers, 51, of Chesterfield, and remanded her to the Macomb County Jail until her next court date. Patch reported the same ruling. WDIV reported the cases are three separate drunken-driving prosecutions. She turned herself in to that court in June after missing three hearings in two cases from February and May of this year, and she also faces an operating-while-intoxicated charge out of Chesterfield Township, the station reported. A missed court date and a bond fight are not a finding that she drove drunk.

WDIV reported that in August prosecutors asked that she be jailed for repeatedly violating bond conditions. At that hearing Hackel revoked her bond and said she would be released if she entered an inpatient treatment facility. The station reported she did report for treatment and did not stay, which Hackel said should have produced a bench warrant. "A bench warrant was never executed, that is amazing to me," he said, according to WDIV. Patch reported he said she had been out of the facility for more than 30 days. WDIV reported prosecutors filed a motion Monday asking him to hold her in contempt for absconding. A contempt request is a request. WDIV did not report that he entered a contempt order.

The Wednesday fight was about who changed the rules. WDIV and Patch reported Barkovic told the judge a magistrate had agreed to modify the bond and allow Mathers to leave inpatient treatment, after attempts to get a hearing before Hackel failed. "She had no authority to make that decision," Hackel said of the magistrate, according to both outlets. "The only person that could reverse it would be a circuit judge." WDIV reported prosecutors said Barkovic had asked to see a specific magistrate, and that she could have filed a motion during the 37 days Mathers was gone. Hackel told Mathers, "You can't just disappear," and, "You don't disappear and then wait a half a month, or a month, to come in and go 'yeah now I want to address bond, I want to address it front of whomever' — that's my issue," WDIV and Patch reported. WDIV reported he also said he could hold her in contempt for absconding. Saying he could is not the same as doing it.

WDIV and Patch reported Mathers is due back for a probable-cause conference on Wednesday, Oct. 14. Until then she is in the Macomb County Jail on the revoked bond. The underlying drunken-driving cases have not been tried in the accounts those outlets published Wednesday. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Page Six says unsealed records from the Lively-Baldoni fight include Ryan Reynolds texts calling Baldoni a "predator and sociopath."

A text message in a court file is proof that someone wrote something. It is not a finding that what he wrote is true. Reynolds was angry in August 2024, and the records Page Six obtained show it. Baldoni has denied Lively's allegations from the start, and no jury ever ruled on them. Page Six reported the case settled in May. What is left now is the paper trail.

LAPD homicide detectives searched Joshua Tree on Friday for evidence in Christina Downer's disappearance.

A search by homicide detectives is a step in an investigation. It is not an arrest, and it is not a finding that anyone killed Christina Downer. Fox News reported the LAPD would not say what evidence detectives hoped to find in Joshua Tree, or whether they were looking for remains or a suspect. NBC Los Angeles reported that dogs were part of the search. Fox News reported a department spokesperson could not confirm the dogs. No one has been named or charged.

LAPD booked Gregory Walker on a felony assault count in the February shooting of 49ers lineman Keion White.

A booking described to a newspaper is the police account of who is in custody and on what count. It is not a criminal complaint the public has seen, and it is not a conviction. The New York Post reported that LAPD officials named Gregory Walker as the suspected gunman in the February shooting of Keion White. The Post did not report a charge against Lil Baby, who was described as the person White argued with before the shots. What a witness told police about two gunshots is an allegation. A jury has not heard it.
