An Erie County indictment charges five people in the killing of witness Willraw Morrison.

District Attorney Michael J. Keane said Thursday, Oct. 22, 2026, that Lamarrio A. Clark, Dayshawn J. Brazier, James S. Barnwell and Angela Bowser were arraigned on first-degree murder and second-degree conspiracy, and that Amos J. Murray was arraigned on conspiracy. All five are held without bail. The next date is Dec. 11.

First-degree murder on Thursday's indictment is the witness-killing count. Clark is already serving 25 years on a manslaughter plea in the separate killing of Corbin J. Kinsey Sr., the case the district attorney says Morrison was going to testify in. That October 2025 sentence is a finished judgment. Thursday's indictment is a new accusation, and the five are held without bail until Dec. 11.

Erie County District Attorney Michael J. Keane said Thursday, Oct. 22, 2026, that five defendants were arraigned on an indictment accusing them of conspiring to kill a witness so the witness would not testify. The office said Lamarrio A. Clark, also known as "Bolo," 29, of Buffalo; Dayshawn J. Brazier, also known as "Day Day," 35, of Buffalo; James S. Barnwell, also known as "Jay Rock," 27, of Buffalo; and Angela Bowser, 25, of Buffalo, are each charged with one count of first-degree murder, a Class A-I felony, and one count of second-degree conspiracy, a Class B violent felony. Amos J. Murray, 24, of Buffalo, is charged with second-degree conspiracy for his alleged role, the office said. All five are held without bail and are due back for a pretrial conference on Friday, Dec. 11, 2026, at 10:30 a.m.

The office said the four, acting in concert, are accused of conspiring to intentionally kill the victim to prevent his intended testimony in the trial of People v. Lamarrio Clark in July 2025. It said Buffalo police responded at about 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, to a shooting on the first block of Krupp Street. Willraw T. Morrison, also known as "Rollo," 23, was taken by ambulance to ECMC and pronounced dead, the office said. Brazier is also charged with one count of attempted first-degree murder, the office said. It said that on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2024, Morrison was shot multiple times on Ashley Street in Buffalo, was injured, and survived, and that Brazier is accused of hiring another person to commit that shooting with intent to kill him.

Clark's earlier case is a separate judgment. The same district attorney's office said on Oct. 2, 2025, that Clark, then 28, was sentenced the previous afternoon by Erie County Court Judge Susan Eagan to 25 years in prison and 5 years of post-release supervision, the maximum, after a first-degree manslaughter plea. That release said he shot Corbin J. Kinsey Sr., 28, at about 5 p.m. on July 4, 2023, on the first block of Warring Avenue near Genesee Street, and that Kinsey was taken to ECMC and later died. It said Clark pleaded guilty on Aug. 20, 2025, in full satisfaction of that indictment. Thursday's release describes a July 2025 trial in which Morrison was the intended witness. Morrison was killed on March 19, 2025, before that July date, and the manslaughter plea came in August. Thursday's indictment lists Clark as 29. The 2025 sentencing release listed him as 28.

The Thursday release says the new case is being prosecuted by Chief Christopher S. Safulko and Assistant District Attorney Samantha King of the Major Crimes Bureau and by Chief Cathleen M. Roemer of the Special Victims Unit. The 2025 sentencing release listed Roemer with the Felony Trials Bureau on the Kinsey case. The 25-year term is the sentence already imposed for Kinsey's killing. The murder and conspiracy counts arraigned Thursday are the new accusation. A charge is not a conviction. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Sheriff's officials named Edward Villa as the suspect after Katie Kinder, her son and her mother were found shot to death in Happy Valley.

Thursday's briefing names the three people and names Villa as the only suspect. The warrant was three counts of first-degree murder. He was found dead before an arrest. KPTV, citing Warrenton police, called it an apparent self-inflicted gunshot. KGW reported Detective Matt Lysaght would not go past a gunshot deputies heard, a firearm in the room, and the fact that no officer fired. KPTV and OPB call the motel the South Jetty Inn. An Oahu grand jury indicted Orion Satori on a second-degree murder charge in the Young Street stabbing of Kiril Stoimenov.

An indictment means a grand jury found enough to send the case forward. It is not a finding of guilt. Police have said Satori did the stabbing, according to Hawaii News Now. The next step is arraignment, where he will be asked to enter a plea. Second-degree murder in Hawaii carries a maximum of life with the possibility of parole, the station reported.
