Prosecutors charged Larry Wallen and Christina Seguin with soliciting a homicide in Manitowoc County.

FOX 11 and Seehafer News reported that Larry Wallen, 37, and Christina Seguin, 49, of Newton, were arrested Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2026, after the Manitowoc County Sheriff's Office investigated a reported threat of solicitation to commit homicide. Seehafer News reported both are charged with solicitation to commit first-degree intentional homicide, and that District Attorney Jacalyn LaBre said Wallen solicited someone to kill his wife during their divorce. The intended victim was not harmed. Cash bail was set Wednesday.

A solicitation charge accuses someone of asking for a killing. It is not a homicide conviction, and the person the state says was the target is alive. Seehafer News reported the district attorney's account of meetings, planning, and a date Wallen offered. That is the state's narrative at a bail hearing. Initial appearances are set for Monday. The wife is not named here.

FOX 11 reported that the Manitowoc County Sheriff's Office received a report in September of a possible threat of solicitation to commit homicide, found the concerns credible, and developed probable cause to arrest two Newton residents. On Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2026, investigators stopped a vehicle and arrested Larry Wallen, 37, and Christina Seguin, 49. FOX 11 reported the sheriff's office said the targeted victim was unharmed. An arrest on a solicitation investigation is custody. It is not a finding that a killing was attempted or carried out.

Seehafer News reported that both are charged with solicitation to commit first-degree intentional homicide. Court Commissioner Jewel Scharenbroch set cash bail on Wednesday, Oct. 7, at $150,000 for Wallen and $10,000 for Seguin, the same figures FOX 11 reported. Seehafer News, citing District Attorney Jacalyn LaBre, reported that Wallen solicited an individual to kill his wife while the two were divorcing, that conversations between Wallen and Seguin began in September and continued into October, and that the planning included meetings, comments, and a date Wallen offered as the one he thought would work best. Those are the district attorney's statements at this stage. They have not been tested at a trial.

Seehafer News reported that at the same hearing the intended victim asked Scharenbroch to set significant bail, and that she said she feared for her life and for the safety of her child after learning of the alleged plan. She is not named here, and the child is not named here. Seehafer News reported Wallen and Seguin are due back Monday, Oct. 12, for initial appearances in Branch 3. A bail order decides release. An initial appearance is the next calendar date. Neither one is a verdict. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Tuscaloosa police charged Daronte Collins with felony murder after a Saturday apartment-complex shooting.

WBRC's jail photo is captioned Daronte Collins and puts both men at 22. The Tuscaloosa Thread, citing Violent Crimes Unit Lt. Michael Hall, spells the charged man Deronte and puts both at 20. Patch and the Calhoun Journal also use Daronte and 20. A felony-murder count, which the Thread and the Journal describe as Alabama's rule when someone dies during a robbery, is not a finding that Collins fired the shot that killed Tyson. The Thread says the 25-year-old has not been charged.

High Point police charged Kymberli Bowden with first-degree murder in her 13-year-old daughter's death.

The Oct. 8 release is a new murder count on a case the department charged in 2025 as felony child abuse and concealment of death. It is not a trial. The murder-charge release says she remains in jail with no bond. WXII reported a violent-offense hold and a $1 million bond on the older counts. The 2025 release listed her age as 44. The murder-charge release, WXII, and FOX 35 Orlando list 45.

Chicago police charged Chevazz Campbell in the stabbing death of CTA janitor Julian Mobley.

A detention hearing is the first court date. It is not a finding that Campbell stabbed anyone. The department's Sunday release says he robbed and fatally stabbed a 41-year-old man in the 2000 block of West Lake Street. ABC7 and CBS Chicago name that man as Julian Mobley and describe a fare dispute that turned into a stabbing. The department's charge list and CBS Chicago's shorter summary do not match count for count.
