A driver first blamed unknown gunmen for a deadly Las Vegas shooting, then told police his friend Levante Davidson was in the back seat, an arrest report says.

Davidson, 32, was arrested Oct. 15 in the Oct. 4 shooting on Decatur Boulevard near Meadows Lane that killed a man who was brought to UMC Trauma with gunshot wounds to the neck, FOX5 Las Vegas reported Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2026, citing the newly released report. He is due back in court Wednesday.

The arrest report is the police narrative: a changed story from the driver, store surveillance video, and seven shell casings inside the car. It is how detectives got to probable cause. It is not proof, and Davidson has not had a chance to answer it in court.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has released new details on the arrest of Levante Davidson, 32, in an Oct. 4 shooting that left one man dead, FOX5 Las Vegas reported Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2026. Davidson was arrested Oct. 15, according to the station.

Dispatchers received reports of six to eight gunshots around 8:06 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4, in the 300 block of Decatur Boulevard near Meadows Lane, police said. About 11 minutes later, according to the arrest report described by FOX5, a red Hyundai Sonata pulled up to UMC Trauma carrying a man who had been shot in the neck. He was pronounced dead around 9:30 p.m. FOX5 did not name him.

The driver initially told police that one or two men shot into the car while it was parked at a Dotty's, the arrest report says. After detectives confronted him with surveillance video showing someone else in the back seat, he admitted a friend had been in the car, FOX5 reported. The driver first identified that person as "Boosie," and police then identified him from a February booking photo as Davidson, according to the report.

Detectives said surveillance video from two nearby stores showed the Hyundai arriving at 7:34 p.m. with Davidson in the passenger seat, and the victim arriving in a red Dodge Durango a minute later and getting into the Hyundai's front passenger seat, FOX5 reported. Over about 30 minutes the three men got in and out of the car. At 8:05 p.m., police say, a cloud of smoke came from the front passenger door, and Davidson got out of the rear driver-side door, appeared to drop a handgun, picked it up and ran south. Those are the detectives' descriptions of the video.

Crime scene analysts found seven spent 9mm cartridge cases inside the Hyundai and seven bullet impacts exiting through the interior passenger door, the report says. The Clark County coroner documented 11 wounds, including five to the neck, and ruled the death a homicide by multiple gunshot wounds, FOX5 reported. Court records show Davidson has a criminal history going back to 2018, including a domestic battery case, according to the station.

Davidson is due back in court Wednesday, FOX5 reported. Police have not publicly described a motive. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Sheriff's officials named Edward Villa as the suspect after Katie Kinder, her son and her mother were found shot to death in Happy Valley.

Thursday's briefing names the three people and names Villa as the only suspect. The warrant was three counts of first-degree murder. He was found dead before an arrest. KPTV, citing Warrenton police, called it an apparent self-inflicted gunshot. KGW reported Detective Matt Lysaght would not go past a gunshot deputies heard, a firearm in the room, and the fact that no officer fired. KPTV and OPB call the motel the South Jetty Inn. The Oregonian calls it the South Jetty Motel.

An Oahu grand jury indicted Orion Satori on a second-degree murder charge in the Young Street stabbing of Kiril Stoimenov.

An indictment means a grand jury found enough to send the case forward. It is not a finding of guilt. Police have said Satori did the stabbing, according to Hawaii News Now. The next step is arraignment, where he will be asked to enter a plea. Second-degree murder in Hawaii carries a maximum of life with the possibility of parole, the station reported.
