Horizon City police arrested Nina Teresa Jimenez on a scooter DWI after breath tests of 0.252 and 0.24.

KFOX and KTSM reported that Horizon City police arrested Nina Teresa Jimenez, 29, on Oct. 3, 2026, after a caller said a woman who appeared intoxicated had fallen off a motorized scooter near Orchid Drive and Golden Eagle Road. Officers found her about a mile and a half away, still on the scooter, in the 14000 block of Rudi Kuefner Drive. Breath samples were 0.252 and 0.24. Texas's legal limit is 0.08.

A DWI booking is an accusation. It is not a conviction. Police say field sobriety tests and two breath samples put her more than three times over the limit. Those readings are the department's evidence. A jury or a plea, not the arrest, decides whether they stand.

KTSM, citing the Horizon City Police Department, reported that officers were sent just after 8 p.m. on Oct. 3 for a welfare check. A witness said Jimenez was seen driving the scooter, falling, getting help, and driving off again. KFOX reported officers later found her in the 14000 block of Rudi Kuefner Drive near Darrington Boulevard, about a mile and a half from the first call, still trying to leave on the scooter. Officers described trouble with balance, glossy eyes, slurred speech, and the smell of alcohol.

KFOX and KVIA reported the breath results as 0.252 and 0.24, or 0.240. She was booked into the El Paso County jail on driving while intoxicated with a blood-alcohol concentration greater than 0.15. KFOX reported bond was set at $5,000 and that jail records showed she posted a surety bond and was released Oct. 5. A release on bond ends the jail hold. It does not end the case.

All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Amarillo police booked Allen Plumlee on aggravated kidnapping and a third-or-more DWI after a Sunday night crash.

An aggravated-kidnapping booking is an accusation. It is not a conviction. The arrest report says a woman told officers she drove because she feared for her life. That statement is the state's account of the ride. It has not been tested in court.

A Bettendorf credit union employee is charged with taking $28,326.28 from customer accounts, most of them belonging to people who had died.

A theft filing built from account records is an accusation. It is not a finding that every dollar in the complaint moved the way police describe. KWQC reported that one account lost $21,279.51 and that the total across seven accounts was $28,326.28, six of them belonging to people who had died. Those figures are what the charging papers claim.

Arnaudville police arrested St. Martin Parish Republican official Chad Hardy on a theft charge.

A theft arrest of an elected party official is an accusation. It is not a conviction, and it is not a finding about how long the charges ran. Police have not said, in the accounts used here, how much money is at issue. The parish party's statement said it would wait on the court.
