Two women were found shot in East Mount Airy, and a man was still on a SEPTA bus.

6abc reported Monday, Oct. 12, 2026, that firefighters answering a kitchen fire on the 8200 block of Williams Avenue found two women who appeared to have been shot in the head. Both were pronounced dead at Einstein. Police were then called to a Route 18 SEPTA bus in Fox Chase. As of 6abc's 5:41 p.m. Eastern update, the man had not been charged, and officials had not officially linked the scenes. A family member told 6abc the man is Lonnie Turner.

A family member's name is not a police identification, and a barricade is not a charge. 6abc's 5:41 p.m. Eastern update said the man on the bus had not been charged and that officials had not officially connected him to the Williams Avenue deaths. Earlier on Monday, the Inquirer reported police said the man on the bus was connected, and NBC10 reported a morning police update that the killing may be connected to the barricade. No outlet in this stack had reported that he left the bus, surrendered, or was arrested.

6abc reported firefighters went to a home on the 8200 block of Williams Avenue for a kitchen fire about an hour before a 5 a.m. call in Fox Chase, found more than one person inside, and pulled two women from the house. The station reported both appeared to have been shot in the head, both were taken to Einstein, and both were pronounced dead. The fire was brought under control, 6abc reported. NBC10 reported investigators put the fire call at about 3:45 a.m. on that block, and that first responders at the same time got calls of a shooting at the property. Police told NBC10 the two women had been shot in the head and died at a hospital. NBC10 reported the fire was under control by about 4:30 a.m., and that officials had not given a cause or said whether it was set. The Inquirer reported Philadelphia Fire Department responders pulled two women with gunshot wounds from a house fire on that block at about 3:43 a.m. in the Cedarbrook section of East Mount Airy, and that they were pronounced dead at Albert Einstein Medical Center at 4:26 a.m. and 4:40 a.m. FOX 29 reported the fire call came just before 4 a.m. and that the women were pronounced dead at Einstein.

6abc reported police were called about 5 a.m. to the 7900 block of Oxford Avenue in Fox Chase for a man with a weapon. Officers found a man with a handgun who would not get off a Route 18 SEPTA bus, the station reported, and no one else was on the bus. 6abc reported he allegedly told the driver he had just shot two people. The Inquirer, citing a SEPTA spokesperson, reported the Route 18 driver pulled into the Fox Chase Loop at Oxford Avenue and Loney Street around 5 a.m. to drop a last passenger, the man refused to get off and told the driver to call police, and he pulled out a gun when Philadelphia police arrived. The driver got off safely, and a SEPTA spokesperson called it a "standstill," the Inquirer reported. The paper reported Monday afternoon that the incident was still ongoing and that surrounding streets were closed, with trains and buses detouring away from the Fox Chase Loop. NBC10, citing SEPTA, reported the barricade started around 5:49 a.m. on a Route 18 bus at Rhawn Street and Oxford Avenue, and that no passengers and no driver were on the bus once the barricade was underway. The man was armed, NBC10 reported. KYW Newsradio reported police declared a barricade around 5:50 a.m. at Oxford and Rhawn, that the man would not get off at the last stop, and that he brandished a gun when officers arrived. KYW reported SEPTA said the passengers and the operator were removed safely. FOX 29 reported the armed-person call was in the area of Oxford Avenue and Loney Street. Six hours in, FOX 29 reported, SWAT members and negotiators were on scene and the man still had not gotten off. 6abc's later update still described him as barricaded and said surrounding streets in Fox Chase were shut.

Police had not named him in the accounts used here. A family member told 6abc the man is Lonnie Turner, that the women are Sadie Turner and Gabby Turner, and that Sadie was the adopted mother of Lonnie, Gabby, and a third child, all of whom lived in the house. That relative also told 6abc he had been released from jail in Montgomery County over the summer. Those details are the relative's account to 6abc. They are not a charging document. NBC10 reported a family member identified the women as 78-year-old Sadie Turner and her daughter Gaby Turner, in her early 20s, spelling the younger name Gaby. That relative told NBC10, "That's my grandma and Gaby is my cousin," and said another cousin had lost her grandma and her sister. NBC10 reported the same family member said the man on the bus was the person involved in the deaths. NBC10's story did not use the name Lonnie Turner. FOX 29 reported police had not released the suspect's identity, and that a family member told the station the man on the bus was the adopted son of one woman and the biological brother of the other. The third child is not named here.

The link between the house and the bus was described differently as the day went on. NBC10 reported a morning police update that the Williams Avenue deaths may be connected to the man on the bus. The Inquirer reported police said the man barricaded on the bus is connected to the double homicide. FOX 29 reported police believe he is connected, and that no arrest had been made. KYW attributed a connection to sources. 6abc's update timestamped 5:41 p.m. Eastern said the man had not been charged with anything and that officials had not officially connected the two scenes. None of these accounts reported that the standoff had ended, that he had surrendered, or that he had been taken into custody. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Horn Lake police issued a murder warrant for Marterius McShane after a restaurant shooting.

A murder warrant and detention pending medical release are not a conviction. Outlets said the shooting was about 8:30 p.m. Sunday at Kabuki Hibachi & Juicy Seafood & Bar on Goodman Road and Interstate Boulevard in Horn Lake, Mississippi. Police cite witnesses and video. An unknown person in the parking lot shot McShane in the leg as he fled, outlets reported, and that shooter has not been identified.

A judge added electronic monitoring after Adam Abdihakeem Adam posted bond.

Monday's electronic monitoring and stay-away terms are new court conditions for a man who is out of jail. They are the accusation's next step, and the charges are still the accusation. Fox News Digital, citing jail records, reported a $100,000 bail or bond option without conditions and a release at 7:04 p.m. on Oct. 10. The White House Rapid Response 47 account criticized that no-conditions release. FOX 9's courtroom report is what the judge added on Monday afternoon.
