NBC New York spelled the last name the same and the first name Rashawn. ABC7 spelled it Rashawn Donavan. FOX 5 New York called him Sean Donovan. Police have not released the name of the woman who was shot. The New York Post identified her as Shanequa Donovan, 38. NBC New York reported her boyfriend called her Nikki.

What is settled is an arrest and a police account of a knife in a third-floor bedroom. What is not settled is the defendant's name on the page, which hospital treated the woman, how many times she was shot, or whether she was moving on the officers when the gun was fired. Her boyfriend says she still had the knife and did not realize it. The NYPD says she moved toward officers with it. Those are two accounts of the same seconds. The charges are what he was booked on.

A 48-year-old man was arrested Saturday after a stabbing inside a home on 149th Street in Queens ended with an NYPD officer shooting a woman, CBS New York, NBC New York, ABC7 and the New York Post reported. CBS New York, citing the NYPD, identified him as Rashaun Donovan and reported the charges as two counts of attempted murder, four counts of assault and one count of criminal possession of a weapon. The New York Post used the same spelling, Rashaun Donovan. NBC New York spelled the name Rashawn Donovan. ABC7 spelled it Rashawn Donavan and reported two counts of attempted murder, assault with a weapon, assault and criminal possession of a weapon. News 12 reported the assault counts as two counts of assault with a weapon and two counts of assault, plus the two attempted-murder counts and criminal possession of a weapon. FOX 5 New York identified the man facing attempted-murder and assault charges as Sean Donovan and did not print the rest of the list.

The outlets do not use one neighborhood name or one clock time. ABC7 and FOX 5 New York placed the home in South Ozone Park. CBS New York and the New York Post placed it in Jamaica. News 12 reported the address as 133-35 149th St. News 12 reported officers were sent at about 9:38 p.m. Friday on multiple 911 calls of a home invasion and a stabbing. FOX 5 reported the arrival at about 9:44 p.m. on calls of a break-in and a stabbing. The New York Post reported officers arrived around 9:45 p.m. Edward Grant, who told CBS New York he has lived at the home for about a decade, said the violence started around 9:30 p.m. while he and his girlfriend were watching television. He told CBS New York the 911 report of a home invasion was wrong. ABC7 reported there is no word from police on what led to the stabbings.

NYPD Chief of Patrol Philip Rivera said a woman at a third-floor window threw down keys because she could not come downstairs, the New York Post, NBC New York and ABC7 reported. Officers followed screaming to a bedroom where two men and a woman were on the floor, Rivera said. He said the men raised their hands and the woman did not. "The female pointed with her left hand at one of the males across the room but did not raise her right hand," Rivera said, in the account ABC7 and the New York Post published. He said she still did not comply and moved toward the officers with a knife, and that she was within several feet of them when an officer fired and another officer used a Taser. Two knives were recovered, the outlets reported. The NYPD said it had no reason to believe the woman was responsible for the stabbing, CBS New York and the New York Post reported.

Grant's account of those seconds is different from Rivera's. He told CBS New York he did not think she realized she still had the knife, and that officers did not give her a chance to drop it. He told the New York Post she was about to lie down and put the knife down. He told NBC New York the shots came less than a second after someone said "knife." The wound count and the hospital are also not one account. The New York Post reported officials said she was shot three times and taken to Jacobi Medical Center, where she was in stable condition. News 12 reported gunshot wounds to her shoulder, leg and chest. Grant told CBS New York she was shot twice in the stomach and then tased, and he told NBC New York the same and that doctors at Jamaica Hospital found she had also been stabbed. NBC New York reported Grant said she was stable and speaking. Police have not released her name. The New York Post identified her as Shanequa Donovan, 38, Grant's girlfriend and the defendant's sister, and reported she called 911. NBC New York reported Grant called her Nikki and said she was the one who called 911. News 12 described a 39-year-old woman and did not print a name.

Three men were stabbed, ABC7 and FOX 5 reported. News 12 reported a 39-year-old man was stabbed in the right bicep, a 23-year-old man was stabbed in the left shoulder, and Donovan had a laceration to his right pinky, and that all of them were in stable condition. Grant told CBS New York he received five stitches in his right arm and one in his left shoulder. The New York Post identified the 23-year-old as Karon Davis, a nephew of the defendant, and reported Davis said he was stabbed in the shoulder after the defendant broke into his room. NBC New York reported the nephew identified himself as Koran. Davis told the New York Post he thought a missed trip to a martial arts event in Spain had overwhelmed the defendant. That is a relative's explanation. ABC7 reported police have not said what led to the stabbings. The New York Post reported the shooting is on body-worn cameras and is under review by the NYPD Force Investigation Division. The charges against the defendant are accusations, not findings. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

NYPD arrested Anna Mochalova in two Midtown attacks on Jewish men, including a syringe stabbing in the Diamond District.

The outlets don't agree on the times or on the first location. The Post put the Diamond District stabbing around 6 p.m. and the first attack two hours earlier at West 42nd Street and Fifth Avenue. The NYPD email JNS quoted put the stabbing call at about 7:50 p.m. and the first attack at about 5:50 p.m. at West 45th Street and Sixth Avenue. JNS said the spokesperson didn't say whether hate-crime enhancements were filed. A charge is not a conviction.

Atlanta police charged Nikolai Dunford with first-degree vehicular homicide in the crash that killed Clark Atlanta student Morgan Gamble.

The speed is the core of the police account, and it comes from police, not a court. The Daily Mail reported the 94-mph figure from Atlanta police. Gamble's sister was quoted citing 95 in a 30 zone, which is the family's words, not the police figure. Dunford's lawyer has asked that the process be allowed to proceed carefully and fairly. A charge is not a conviction.
