Just over an hour is the deliberation WCTV printed. Life in prison without parole is the sentence it printed. The station does not name the judge. The neighbor who survived a gunshot to the chest is not named here.
WCTV, by WCTV Staff, published Nov. 4, 2026, at 4:33 p.m. EST, reported a guilty verdict was returned Wednesday for a man accused of a deadly shooting at Tallahassee's Westgate Community in October 2020. The update line said the story had been updated and did not print a second clock. It reported Robert Green, 47, was found guilty after a jury deliberated for just over an hour Wednesday and sentenced to life in prison without parole. Found guilty, and sentenced, are both in that sentence. It reported court records show his two-day trial ended with a guilty verdict on charges of first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder. A two-day trial, and just over an hour of deliberation, are not the same span. First-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder are the counts that sentence names. The page does not name the judge.
WCTV reported the 47-year-old was accused of shooting and killing one of his neighbors, Michael Platt, and of trying to kill another neighbor who ultimately survived a gunshot to the chest. The other neighbor is not named on the page, and is not named here. October 2020 is the month WCTV printed. It did not print a day in October. It reported prosecutor Sarah Dugan said Platt's family did share a victim impact statement before the judge sentenced Green to life in prison. It quoted Dugan: "The victim's family was very glad this defendant was held accountable for this senseless murder and we are thankful he won't have an opportunity to commit any other acts of violence in the community." The page image is credited Unsplash. It is not a photograph of Green. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The Middle District of Georgia release says Judge Self sentenced Josue Serda to life in prison. FOX 5 Atlanta and WSB-TV say life without parole.
Life in prison, and life without parole, and there is no parole in the federal system, are not the same sentence. More than 50 kilograms of methamphetamine, and 50 kilograms, are not the same quantity. Three investigations, and one ring that seized more than 200 kilograms, are not the same case. A charge against Raul Perez-Mondragon is an allegation.

Roland Chatmon and three others pleaded guilty in the kidnapping of his uncle, Curtis Dixon.
A guilty plea is the conviction on the counts a defendant admits. It is not the prison term. FOX 2 and the New York Post say the four kidnapping defendants face a mandatory minimum of seven years and a maximum of life, with hearings in 2027. WXYZ reported that all five, including Kenneth Anderson, face that range. FOX 2, CBS Detroit, and the Post say Anderson was already sentenced to probation.

An Ottawa jury found Fsha Tekhle guilty of first-degree murder in the stabbing of Brkti Berhe.
A first-degree murder verdict is the jury's finding on that count. CBC wrote that the conviction comes with automatic life sentences, plural, and no eligibility for parole for 25 years. The Ottawa Citizen described an automatic sentence of life without parole for 25 years. No eligibility for parole for 25 years, and life without parole for 25 years, are not the same words. Tekhle admitted causing the death and pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder.
