Page Six says unsealed records from the Lively-Baldoni fight include Ryan Reynolds texts calling Baldoni a "predator and sociopath."

Page Six reported Friday, Oct. 9, 2026, that newly unsealed court documents from Blake Lively's legal battle with Justin Baldoni include an Aug. 10, 2024, text from Ryan Reynolds to author Colleen Hoover. Baldoni has denied Lively's allegations. Page Six reported Lively and the remaining defendants in her case settled in May 2026.

A text message in a court file is proof that someone wrote something. It is not a finding that what he wrote is true. Reynolds was angry in August 2024, and the records Page Six obtained show it. Baldoni has denied Lively's allegations from the start, and no jury ever ruled on them. Page Six reported the case settled in May. What is left now is the paper trail.

Page Six reported Friday, Oct. 9, 2026, that newly unsealed court documents it obtained from the legal battle between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni include private text messages from Lively's husband, Ryan Reynolds. In an Aug. 10, 2024, text to Colleen Hoover, author of the novel "It Ends With Us," Reynolds wrote, "It's amazing to me that you can have everybody involved with a production completely run away from a person who is obviously a predator and sociopath and the narrative must first land on why a woman is the problem," according to the documents as Page Six reported them. He added that "people are already coming forward and soon enough someone is just gonna go on record." Yahoo Entertainment and Just Jared also reported the messages. Those are Reynolds's words in a private exchange. They are not a court's finding about Baldoni.

The messages were exchanged as Lively, 39, faced online backlash while promoting the film version of "It Ends With Us," which Baldoni, 42, directed and co-starred in, Page Six reported. In the same thread, Reynolds wrote out an imagined conversation mocking what he described as Baldoni's crisis PR strategy, and Hoover reacted with a laugh, according to the documents. In a separate Aug. 9, 2024, message to his agent, Warren Zavala, Reynolds called Baldoni a "human rounding error" while celebrating the film's success, Page Six reported. Representatives for Reynolds and Hoover did not immediately respond to Page Six's requests for comment.

A source close to Reynolds told Page Six that "Ryan was trying to protect his wife who was being targeted by a crisis PR team hired by Baldoni." Lively's December 2024 complaint alleged sexual harassment during production and a retaliatory smear campaign. Baldoni denied her allegations and filed his own $400 million defamation and extortion lawsuit against Lively, Reynolds, and their PR team, which was dismissed in June 2025, Page Six reported. Page Six also reported that Lively and the remaining defendants in her case reached a settlement in May 2026. An unnamed source's account of motive is one side's statement. It is not evidence a court weighed.

Unsealing makes records public. It does not reopen a settled case or decide who was right. Lively's allegations were never tried to a verdict, and Baldoni has denied them. The rule is the same in a civil fight as in a criminal one: an allegation is not a judgment. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

LAPD homicide detectives searched Joshua Tree on Friday for evidence in Christina Downer's disappearance.

A search by homicide detectives is a step in an investigation. It is not an arrest, and it is not a finding that anyone killed Christina Downer. Fox News reported the LAPD would not say what evidence detectives hoped to find in Joshua Tree, or whether they were looking for remains or a suspect. NBC Los Angeles reported that dogs were part of the search. Fox News reported a department spokesperson could not confirm the dogs. No one has been named or charged.

LAPD booked Gregory Walker on a felony assault count in the February shooting of 49ers lineman Keion White.

A booking described to a newspaper is the police account of who is in custody and on what count. It is not a criminal complaint the public has seen, and it is not a conviction. The New York Post reported that LAPD officials named Gregory Walker as the suspected gunman in the February shooting of Keion White. The Post did not report a charge against Lil Baby, who was described as the person White argued with before the shots. What a witness told police about two gunshots is an allegation. A jury has not heard it.
