Selma Blair was arrested at JFK after a reported disturbance on a Delta flight, and the FBI is reviewing.

Daily Voice reported Oct. 12, 2026, that Port Authority police responded around 11 p.m. Sunday to a physically abusive passenger on Delta Flight 938 from Los Angeles, identified her as Selma Blair, 54, and took her into custody for a hospital evaluation. The New York Post reported that no criminal charges have been announced. TMZ later reported two assault counts the Port Authority accounts have not confirmed.

An arrest at the gate is custody. Daily Voice, citing Port Authority police, said it was not immediately clear whether any criminal charges had been filed. The New York Post reported no criminal charges have been announced and that the FBI is reviewing. TMZ's later report that the state charged two assault counts is TMZ's claim, and it sits next to a Port Authority account that does not say those counts were filed.

Daily Voice reported that Port Authority police responded to a report of a physically abusive passenger aboard Delta Flight 938 around 11 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11, after the plane arrived from Los Angeles and was parked at the gate. It reported the passenger was identified as Selma Blair, 54, who was taken into custody and transported to a hospital for evaluation. It reported authorities later said two flight attendants reported injuries, with one transported to a hospital for further evaluation. It reported the Port Authority said the FBI is investigating, and that it was not immediately clear whether any criminal charges had been filed. That is the Port Authority account as Daily Voice published it. It describes a physically abusive passenger, injuries, custody, a hospital, and an FBI investigation.

The New York Post reported Blair was arrested on a JFK-bound Delta flight after slugging one flight attendant, biting another, and trying to open the aircraft's door midflight, and it attributed that sentence to authorities. It reported the Port Authority Police Department said she was taken to a local hospital for evaluation after the flight touched down Sunday at the Queens airport. It reported that no criminal charges have been announced but the FBI is reviewing the incident, police said, and that two flight attendants reported injuries, with one taken to a local hospital, cops said. The Post's line that no criminal charges have been announced is attributed to police. The slugging, the bite, and the door attempt are in the Post's lede as what authorities said. Daily Voice's writeup of the Port Authority statement does not include those three allegations.

Variety reported it confirmed Blair, 54, was arrested Sunday after an alleged violent incident on a Delta flight from Los Angeles to New York, and that the Port Authority confirmed Blair's identity to Variety. It reported law enforcement was at the gate and responded once the aircraft landed, and that she was taken into custody and transported to a hospital for evaluation, with two flight attendants reporting injuries and one receiving care at a hospital. It reported a source said the FBI is investigating. It reported a Delta Airlines spokesperson said, "Delta has zero tolerance for unruly or unlawful behavior, as the safety of our customers and crew always comes first." It reported the flight landed at John F. Kennedy airport at approximately 11 p.m., ahead of schedule, with no operational impact. Variety attributed the punch, the bite, and the attempt to open the plane door in the air to TMZ. The Delta statement, the ahead-of-schedule landing, and the lack of operational impact are in Variety. They are not in Daily Voice's Port Authority account. Variety's FBI line is attributed to a source. Daily Voice attributes the FBI investigation to the Port Authority.

Variety and TMZ reported a representative for Blair told TMZ: "Selma experienced a medical emergency that led to the alleged conduct. Upon landing, she received immediate medical attention and is currently in stable condition." TMZ reported Blair punched one flight attendant and bit another after trying to open the plane door during the flight to John F. Kennedy International Airport, that one flight attendant sustained a laceration and the other a bite, and that Blair was put in restraints on the plane and arrested on landing. TMZ reported the Port Authority told TMZ that two flight attendants reported injuries and one was taken to the hospital. TMZ reported dispatch audio noted the passenger apparently bashed her head against a bulkhead. In a later update, TMZ reported law enforcement said that in the ambulance Blair repeatedly kicked a Port Authority police officer in the head, that she allegedly assaulted a nurse at the hospital who pressed charges, and that the state has charged Blair with two counts of assault, one on a police officer and one on a nurse. The same TMZ story also said it was unclear whether she could face any criminal charges. Daily Voice said it was not immediately clear whether charges had been filed. The New York Post said no criminal charges have been announced. TMZ's two-count claim is TMZ's later report. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Oakland police arrested a Richmond woman after Mackayla Paige was fatally shot on 14th Street.

An arrest after a fatal shooting is custody. It is not a complaint, and the Monday accounts still do not give the arrested woman's name or a motive. The Chronicle set Sunday's shooting beside last weekend's Warfield killing after a Zeus Network Baddies production and said circumstances and motives in both were still being investigated. That sentence does not make the two cases one case.

Russell Brand arriving at Southwark Crown Court

Jury selection began Monday in Russell Brand's rape and sexual-assault trial at Southwark Crown Court.

Jury selection is the start of the trial. It is not a verdict. The BBC and the Press Association agree that six women are involved, that he denies the charges, and that the judge told jurors the case should take about six weeks. The BBC says the pool was cut to 20 and that jurors might be needed until Dec. 11. The Press Association says six panel members who remembered 2023 coverage were dismissed, and it does not give Dec. 11. The BBC calls his wife Laura. The Press Association calls her Laura Gallacher.

Page Six says unsealed records from the Lively-Baldoni fight include Ryan Reynolds texts calling Baldoni a "predator and sociopath."

A text message in a court file is proof that someone wrote something. It is not a finding that what he wrote is true. Reynolds was angry in August 2024, and the records Page Six obtained show it. Baldoni has denied Lively's allegations from the start, and no jury ever ruled on them. Page Six reported the case settled in May. What is left now is the paper trail.
