Murder is the count both Wednesday pages print. It is not a conviction. Taken into custody Nov. 2, and will be taken to the jail, are not the same tense, and the Sunday WBRC story still says no one is in custody.

WBRC, by WBRC Digital Staff, published Nov. 4, 2026, at 5:15 p.m. CST, with an update line that said 3 hours ago and did not print a new clock, reported a man has been charged with murder in connection to a south Birmingham homicide investigation, police said Wednesday. It reported that according to Birmingham Police, 37-year-old Simeon Wallace was arrested and charged with murder in connection to the death of Brian Keith Lowe Jr. In connection to, twice, is that page. It reported police said Lowe Jr. was killed Sunday, Nov. 1 in the 1900 block of 2nd Avenue South. Lowe Jr., as a second reference, and 2nd, as a numeral, are that page. It reported Wallace was taken into custody Nov. 2, police said. It reported officials said he has been charged with murder will be taken to the Jefferson County Jail where he will be held with no bond. The sentence does not print the word and between murder and will. Will be taken, and will be held, are future. Taken into custody Nov. 2 is past. With no bond is the phrase. South Birmingham, in the lede, and the 1900 block of 2nd Avenue South, in the killing sentence, are both on the page. The story does not print Lowe's age, a time of day, a building name, or a wound. ABC 33/40, by Drew Hyatt, published Wed, November 4, 2026, at 4:55 p.m., and updated at the same time, with no zone printed, reported Birmingham police have arrested a 37-year-old man and charged him with murder in connection with the death of Brian Keith Lowe Jr. In connection with, on ABC 33/40, and in connection to, on WBRC, are not the same preposition. The headline carries 37-year-old. The body says Simeon Wallace of Birmingham. Of Birmingham is not in WBRC's charge sentence. It reported he was taken into custody without incident Nov. 2 and is being held without bond at the Jefferson County Jail. Without incident is not on the WBRC charge story. Is being held without bond, and will be held with no bond, are not the same tense and not the same phrase. It reported the homicide happened Nov. 1 in the 1900 block of Second Avenue South. Second, spelled out, and 2nd, are not the same typesetting. ABC 33/40 does not print south Birmingham as a sentence in the body. South Birmingham is in its headline. It does not print a time of day, a building, or a wound. 5:15 p.m. CST, and 4:55 p.m. with no zone, are not the same clock.

The Sunday account is a different WBRC story, and the Tuesday update did not add the arrest. WBRC, by WBRC Digital Staff, published Nov. 1, 2026, at 7:38 p.m. CST, and updated Nov. 3, 2026, at 10:51 a.m. CST, reported a homicide investigation is underway after a 43-year-old man was shot and killed Sunday afternoon. It reported Birmingham Police were called to the 1900 block of 2nd Avenue South around 4 p.m. to investigate shots fired and a person running toward an abandoned building formerly occupied by Adamson Ford. It reported officers entered the building and found the victim unresponsive, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. It reported the Jefferson County Coroner's Office identified him as Brian Keith Lowe, Jr. of Birmingham. The comma before Jr. is on that page. The Wednesday charge story prints Brian Keith Lowe Jr. without the comma. Age 43, around 4 p.m., Adamson Ford, and an apparent gunshot wound are the Sunday story. They are not on the Wednesday charge story, and they are not on ABC 33/40. It reported early investigations revealed Lowe was involved in an altercation with an unknown suspect before a shot was fired, killing Lowe. It reported the suspect ran from the scene before officers arrived and no one is in custody at this time. No one is in custody, on a story updated Tuesday at 10:51 a.m. CST, and taken into custody Nov. 2, on Wednesday's story, are not the same status. The Sunday story says it will be updated with more information as it becomes available. The Nov. 3 update line is the update. The custody sentence was still the Sunday sentence. It asked for information to Birmingham Police at 205-254-1764, or Crime Stoppers at 205-254-7777. The Wednesday pages do not print those numbers.

A booking photograph is not a plea. WBRC's Wednesday page labels the portrait 37-year-old Simeon Wallace and credits the Birmingham Police Department, with no space before the parenthesis in the text retrieved. ABC 33/40 credits the same department and does not print Wallace's age under the picture. The Wednesday charge is murder. The Sunday story's unknown suspect is not a named defendant. The Tuesday update of that Sunday story did not become the Wednesday charging story. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

WJLA says Judge Neal Kravitz found Jaime Macedo guilty of voluntary manslaughter while armed. NBC4 says he pleaded guilty to manslaughter.
