An indictment means a grand jury found probable cause to send the case forward. It is not a verdict. WSB-TV and FOX 5 Atlanta report the counts include malice murder, murder, concealing the death of another, aggravated assault under the Family Violence Act, theft by taking, financial transaction card theft and identity theft. Wilson has been held without bond since her July 5 arrest on a false-statements charge.
A Newton County, Ga., grand jury indicted Taiesha Wilson, 43, on Oct. 2, 2026, in the death of her boyfriend, Dee Dee O'Hara, 47, of Covington, the Newton County Sheriff's Office said, as reported by WSB-TV, FOX 5 Atlanta and CBS Atlanta. WSB-TV and FOX 5 report the indictment charges malice murder, murder, concealing the death of another, aggravated assault under the Family Violence Act, theft by taking, financial transaction card theft and identity theft. The indictment is an accusation. It is not a conviction.
Investigators received information on July 1 that O'Hara had been killed and buried in a shallow grave behind his home on Brighton Ridge Lane, the sheriff's office said. Deputies found remains there on July 5. FOX 5 reports that the same day, authorities located Wilson in Albany and arrested her on a charge of making false statements to Newton County investigators. She was booked into the Newton County Jail and denied bond, and CBS Atlanta reports she has remained in custody since.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation's Medical Examiner's Office identified the remains as O'Hara's on Aug. 6 after an autopsy, WSB-TV reports. The sheriff's office said the identification took an extended period of time that was outside its control, and that detectives determined the killing was "domestic-related." FOX 5 reports authorities have not released a cause of death, a possible motive, or what led to the financial card and identity theft counts.
"The Newton County Sheriff's Office extends its deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of Dee Dee O'Hara during this difficult time," Sheriff Ezell Brown said. "Our agency remains committed to thoroughly investigating violent crimes and pursuing justice for victims and their families." The sheriff's office said the investigation is ongoing and asked anyone with information to contact Investigator Clinton French or the agency's anonymous tip line at 678-625-1585. No plea or trial date has been reported. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Don Wells, the father of missing Tennessee girl Summer Wells, was charged with domestic assault.
This is an accusation in an affidavit, not a finding, and it has no reported link to Summer's disappearance. What it does is put the family back in the headlines more than five years after a 5-year-old vanished from her own yard. Summer is still missing.
