An arrest and a booking are accusations. They are not a conviction, and the accounts used here do not describe a plea. FOX 10 Phoenix, citing the Phoenix Police Department, reported Bailey was taken to jail on two counts of first-degree murder. azfamily reported the bond is $2 million, cash only. What a court still has to decide is what the state can prove about the shooting near 16th Street and McKinley.

FOX 10 Phoenix reported that Phoenix police identified the man arrested as Taishawn Terry Bailey, 23. The station, citing a police statement, reported he was apprehended on Oct. 7 in the area of 44th Street and Baseline Road, and that a firearm was recovered at the time of the arrest. azfamily reported investigators tracked him to that intersection, where officers arrested him Wednesday and recovered a firearm. FOX 10 reported he was taken to jail on two counts of first-degree murder. Those reports describe a booking. They do not describe a plea.

FOX 10 reported officers were sent to the area of 16th Street and McKinley at around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, after multiple reports of a shooting, east of Downtown Phoenix. azfamily reported the shooting happened shortly before 5 a.m. near 16th and McKinley streets, south of Interstate 10. FOX 10 quoted the police statement: "Officers arrived and located a pair of adult male victims, each of whom had sustained at least one gunshot wound. The suspect had fled the scene." The two men were identified as Charles Hendrix, 56, and Jerry Braggs, 64. Both were declared dead at the scene from gunshot wounds.

azfamily reported it is unclear what Bailey's relationship was to the victims. FOX 10 reported police did not reveal what led up to the shooting. azfamily reported police had initially believed a third victim might have been involved, and that they confirmed at the scene that no additional victims were found. azfamily reported Bailey is being held on a $2 million cash-only bond. A cash-only bond figure is a custody condition. It is not a finding about what happened near 16th Street and McKinley. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Tuscaloosa police charged Daronte Collins with felony murder after a Saturday apartment-complex shooting.

WBRC's jail photo is captioned Daronte Collins and puts both men at 22. The Tuscaloosa Thread, citing Violent Crimes Unit Lt. Michael Hall, spells the charged man Deronte and puts both at 20. Patch and the Calhoun Journal also use Daronte and 20. A felony-murder count, which the Thread and the Journal describe as Alabama's rule when someone dies during a robbery, is not a finding that Collins fired the shot that killed Tyson. The Thread says the 25-year-old has not been charged.

High Point police charged Kymberli Bowden with first-degree murder in her 13-year-old daughter's death.

The Oct. 8 release is a new murder count on a case the department charged in 2025 as felony child abuse and concealment of death. It is not a trial. The murder-charge release says she remains in jail with no bond. WXII reported a violent-offense hold and a $1 million bond on the older counts. The 2025 release listed her age as 44. The murder-charge release, WXII, and FOX 35 Orlando list 45.

Chicago police charged Chevazz Campbell in the stabbing death of CTA janitor Julian Mobley.

A detention hearing is the first court date. It is not a finding that Campbell stabbed anyone. The department's Sunday release says he robbed and fatally stabbed a 41-year-old man in the 2000 block of West Lake Street. ABC7 and CBS Chicago name that man as Julian Mobley and describe a fare dispute that turned into a stabbing. The department's charge list and CBS Chicago's shorter summary do not match count for count.
